2010 Bowman Chrome information

great, October is the latest this has ever come out, and baseball season will be all but over at that time.

so when is 2010 bowman draft going to come out, february 2011?

I wouldn't be surprised to see it leak into 2011


I also don't think it matters if baseball is in season or not.

Prospect prices are always more volatile and more exciting to follow when the players are actually playing day to day. This will be the first time that chrome becomes an "off season" product, hence less daily excitement and prices booms. Kind of sucks.

But just in time for Strasburg to be announced as rookie of the year to further inflate the price?

The base C/L is icky

Think about where the big money was made in 2010 Bowman - Stras Base and Stras Chrome, you have neither of those here. No base paper around and no really interesting base chrome cards.

Plus, by October products like Elite, BDP and Sterling are being anticipated, this product being pushed into October just makes the dry spell that much longer from 2010 Bowman w/Chrome to 2010 Bowman Chrome.

So still no Jonathan Singleton and only the 18U USA Team will appear, last year's team (Harper, Taillon, Machado, etc) probably. Not sure why we would need additional Chromes of them, so maybe it will be the 2010 Team (still to be determined roster).

I would guess it may be the 2010 team - 18U Worlds take place in July I believe (right on pace for an Oct. release perhaps).

When has the first checklist ever resembled the final list?

Plenty of times really, 2010 Bowman w/Chrome is the only recent product (2008 forward) that has received huge bumps in the base checklist as time went on.

In other products, players were added and subtracted but it wasn't anything substantive.

Don't bother buying this product hoping for the stras super unless you live in one of these states- it will be pulled in New York, Virginia, or Pennsylvania, as long as the dealers who receive these cases from topps is smart enough to keep them in town, and not ship them off to the west coast.
