I'm pretty sure Beckett is going to run something on this. Mr. Olds seems pretty interested in it. Just for sheet and giggles I called a few card shops, one in Las Vegas to see if they have heard of or seen it and they didn't have a clue it existed.

Are you plugging this so hard to get attention to make it sell for more? We've established it's an SP. What more is there?

Well, I'm not sure I'm going to sell it, and it's the one card in this years Topps cards that no one knows anything about. I am just trying to keep everyone posted as to what is going on and what I'm doing to create some awareness about the card. I personally think it's pretty exciting.

What cards do you want? I'll make a prop bet with ya. As long as its a legitimate, pack pulled release and not some elaborate scam, I'd be more than happy to bet with someone to try and predict the final sale value. Over/under?? PM me!

You said it was a 750-1000.00 card.
What over/underdo you want. Make it public and I might take you up on it. Unfortunately, we would have to get a legitimate sale price, paid for and confirmed and too many people willing to blow something up to start the hype rolling.

You wanted to make the bet. So, let me know what you want for wager/odds, and I'll decide if it sounds good enough to strike a deal. Odds aren't gonna be in my favor if you think it will sell for $50 to $100 and I automatically lose if it doesn't hit $750 mark, so let's try to get something together that works for us. And, it is better to PM it, so it doesn't interfere with the actual posting (very off topic). I have no problem putting our prop bet out in the open once its set up, its just inconsiderate of the original poster and way off topic to continue discussion in open forum.

At least Beckett paid attention to you. When I tried to get them interested in 20 year old errors/variations that had never been discovered surrounding an iconic card, I couldn't even get a reply back.

Yeah, I don't think he had much of a choice. I have emails proving our correspondence.

Well, that backs up the idea that these are in the same quantities as the one per case "Pie" variations. Obviously it is speculation...but way too plausible.

Perfect timing to pull and list.

It would have been cool to see an actual auction, so I could either win (or lose) the bet. Oh well. Still, I hope it sells for you quickly. You'll probably start a trend of anyone and everyone double checking their scrub pile.

kind of a small sample to draw that kind of a conclusion, no?

To the OP

I commend you for your sharing of information, but you blew a huge chance to make a lot of money. You were the only one who noticed this. You should own about a 100 of these right now. It is rare in life to have these types of opportunities and you pretty much blew it. Now you may be well off and not care about these things.

Just my 2 cents that nobody asked for

yep :)

we have to a have a few more examples than 1 guy that pulls 1 in his case before we start claiming they are 1 per case pulls
