Topps has figured out how to have the best of both worlds. Great auto checklist, but not spending a lot if money on the top tier guys. Redemptions allow you to only meet with the athlete once and keep prices down. This is the future of topps.

anyone surprised that Phelps stuff hasn't taken off? One 2009 auto sold for only 311.00. A ton of BIN's untouched. I can't think of another Olympian worthy of
some high sell number than Phelps. Heck, I sold my 09 redemption for 800 back in the day. Did Topps kill the value by adding him to the 2012 set? I guess 311.00
isn't bad.

The inclusion of Phelps in 2012 was a nice idea in anticipation of him breaking the record.......however it did hurt the 2009 price. The 2012 image is a cropped image form one of the 8 2009 cards. I will be waiting on a 2012 Phelps and McEnroe.

Olympic autos just don't have the big money spenders. Sad seeing all these Phelps ginter autos graded with stupid bins that just turn people away. Or seller just wants to show them off with no intent on ever selling them at reasonable price.

Did see a blue Prince Fielder get listed and pulled quickly. Wonder if BD striked right away on that one.

There was a ton of excitement on the Phelps when it came out after the 08 games. Like I said I sold a redemption for 800. I also did very well with the Walsh
and May Traenor. Perhaps it was all the UD products that made it not so special. Of course I don't mind having a Phelps autograph in my PC. It will be interesting
to see how beckett is going to price these rare blues without any print run info.

I pulled a McCann rip card yesterday and decided to rip it and pulled a red ink Gordon Beckham. Not sure if I lost money on that LOL

One of the Beckham reds sold for $50. So you did decent on rip. Does seem the non star red inks can be had pretty cheap sometimes.

Man, still looks like these ssp are super tough. A blue set is going to be just as hard if not harder to do than red set.

For non baseball guys. Who seems to be sp

Yeah I saw the redemptions for 2011. Looks like quite a few 2012 have ended, but only 5 including mine on eBay right now.

What did the Pujols run you if you don't mind me asking? No worries if you don't want to.

I hope someone's theory about the tougher autographs being is retail is true... I bought a jumbo rack case (324 packs) this past week. I'll post here if I hit any rare ones.
