Great post and can totally put myself in your shoes and feeling that way once getting one of these in hand. I think your ballpark idea is excellent though, surprised they didn't think of that as well.I was initially a fan of the popups in GQ, but once I got one in hand it was underwhelming. Putting the guy in the middle here is distracting with the crease. They could do some really cool things with this idea if they tried. Like, how about a panoramic photo of a ballpark across both leaves, with the popup being the park outline, die-cut in the proper shape?

I hate to think of the 2013 Frank Thomas glossy 1of1 in a landfill somewhere.
I tracked this set and found 148 of the 350 card checklist over the course of the year.
