I organized scans of the pirates and put them in order. looks very peculiar, the way they're looking and the fact that most have swords that point in a specific direction.

Really, what specific direction? Looks the just have swords to me.

Well, pointing, at least. That and their wandering eyes intrigue me.

Back to "TWO WITHIN ORBIT". I really think this is a reference to Mars and its moons. Mars is the Roman God of war, the Greek equivelent being Ares. Perhaps the Gods of Olympus Ares cards can offer a clue?

Furthermore, Mars' moons are Phobos and Deimos. These are the sons of ARES, not Mars.

It should be noted that Phobos is also the Greek God of the Moon, which was mentioned before.

What do you think of the Gardner Jacoby ordeal?

aug 24 1456 the Gutenburg bible is completed. Gutenburg is in the ginter set this year and that date corresponds
to Brett Gardner's Bday....just throwing it out there.

Yeah, that is really strange. Is it just the silks? Or are some of the base that way as well. It's hard to think that Topps would make a card numbered to 10 part of the code breaking.

"Using borrowed money, Gutenberg invented the movable-type printing press in the mid-15th century, exponentially advancing the arts and sciences through faster, more widespread dissemination of information. His first major printed book was the Gutenberg Bible, an artistic and aesthetic masterwork. Twenty-one survive, each valued at more than $2 million, making it the most valuable book in the world."

Edit: Anyone know what he's holding in his hand?

15, 21, and 2.

Hmm, didn't Lincecums dad put a $21 bill on the ground to make sure he followed through on his rotation. OMMGZ Lincecum is the card you nees. Now you need to take your picture with 2 million of them and you have cracked the code!

but honestly, I don't see anything glaringly obvious with that card. Just seems a little too coincidentail though.

The irony is that there is no silk card of the champion code breaker.....whooops.

Whoops is right...I had no clue if it was an error on Gardner's silk to put my name on it, or if it was an error on my silk that had his picture on it...however, a correct Gardner is now on ebay with a yellow background (the right color), whereas the Gardner's that have my name on it have a blue background (the background color of my card). Bummer.

I cracked this year's code today so hopefully I'm the first and can get one next year.

Are you going to share the method again? Considering if you are the 1st one to submit it doesn't matter now.

Yea, I'll do another blog that walks through everything just like last year's. I won't get started on that until I know if I was the first one or not...don't want to steal anyone else's thunder.

So how much of the info here did you use? Obviously you didn't share anything.

That will be hard to believe you do understand that right?

There's nothing to understand...you don't even know what the solution is. Why do I have to prove anything to you anyway? Lighten up. 8-)

How and when did you get your hands on the cards that you needed?

Did you buy a case? borrow the cards from the shop? Buy a few boxes and eBay?
