Ran into Mudpuddlehuddle (Mike) this AM at 3 Stars. Nice guy (weird family--don't ask!) Good to put a name with the face! Bought some football to get a BF pack there. (post on the football boards)

Now back to Twins stuff.

Thanks man nice to meet you to. Ripped a box of bowman draft and got a Orange Refractor auto of Tyler Goeddel and Blue refractor of Wilhelmson. Ripped 4 packs of Football just to get a panini pack and got a Tony Romo Patch #'d 1/99 and a Demarco Murray auto patch refractor /25. Altogether a good day and we'll see what happens tomorrow at the Embassy suites show.

I was in the shop at the same time. Wish I had your luck on the football packs, had nothing worth mentioning in my packs.

Ended up selling at the Embassy suites show since they had a cancellation. Altogether underwhelming show compared to the club show in my opinion. Oh well.

It's too bad that we can't get a decent show in the summer every year like the old State Fairground/RiverCentre shows from about a decade ago. It seems we either have TwinsFest or shows where the same dealers show up every time.

My wife gave me cards her and her brother had--from back in the 70's--and they had crossed over team names if someone had been traded. I should dig one up to show. But that's what we did back then. Carried them in our back pockets, bound by rubberbands, correcting trades, and drawing mustaches on the guys we didn't like!

I have vintage that is written all over and I love it. That's what cards were back then, when people actually collected.

I even own a card that a mouse chewed through. It's 100+ years old, but it's different.

In a way, you answered your own question, lol. I think there was a small ad in the Friday Star Tribune, that's about it.

Picked up a Jamey Carroll Topps Black and a Doumit /225 to get signed. I won't seek them out but whenever I'm getting other autos I always end up with the new signees and never have anything of them. Figured I'd be prepared for that this year. I picked up a Jack Morris 2004 Donruss World Series October Heroes Holofoil (Twins Uniform) /25 that is my #1 target to be signed. There were two of them on COMC for a good price. I'll keep one /25 and get the other signed.

I'm starting a player(s) collection of Jack Morris, Paul Molitor & Dave Winfield only in their Twins uniform. Been finding a few Jack Morris things. Once I get a decent start to it I'll start a thread.

Morris too. He was only on the WS team in '91. That said, because it was a WS team, there are a relatively large number of Morris cards in a Twins uni.
