Ironic that they're treating it as though it's our fault. Obviously, it's not.

No one has a phone number, then.

I guess it's off to the BBB, for whatever good that will do.

What I find odd is that in the past you had to request the money, this time I did not request it, and have the same 3 failed messages, not a lot of money, but money none the less.

What a mess huh ? I guess they are out of cash..lol...

NOT defending Microsoft or anything, but I'm wondering if they're having trouble keeping up with the Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals they had going on. From what I'm reading here, the majority of failures are from that time period. I have one from a week before that failed, so who knows exactly what the reason is.

Could be. It still doesn't make it right for them to give people the run-around and lie through their teeth while they stall to come up with the cash (if in fact this is the problem).

The ironic thing is that this whole promotion was intended to get people to start using the Live search engine. Imagine how many people will be sure to NEVER use it again or buy Microsoft products if they don't get their remaining cashback payments.

I can't see any of us using it again even if we do get our $ back.

I'd be afraid of having to go through this 75+ day runaround again. I'm really glad it's not an amount in the hundreds or thousands I'm owed.

It was only $35. Now it's a mission.

and again, this is something basically owned by Bill Gates. Bill Gates.
i spent 10,000 to get this 2500 bucks, of which i have received 1100.
considering this problem started when they started doing it automatically,
maybe it is just a software problem ( is that even possible with microsoft ? ).
1400 for me is a nice case, which is the reason i did it, so i could rip some freaking wax.
do we have any bloggers here? im sure if we really started putting this out there,
microsoft would not like the incredible bad publicity we could cause.

True, indeed. While I think many people will still use Microsoft stuff, the live.com search engine will definitely suffer from this fiasco. I know I won't be using it again, regardless.

Did anyone get cashback for anything besides cards/collectibles? Could they be changing the rules or something? I should have expected this from ms

Sounds like the e-mail my wife got that I posted 1 page back. They aren't even looking at our e-mails, just sending canned responses...

Caahback was for any e-bay purchases. My wife bought jewelry and antique pottery to get hers. There was a post on fat wallet that was 600+ pages about this promotion (if memory serves, but it was an insanely long thread...)

Oh I know I was just asking thinking that maybe for some odd reason they are considering not honoring baseball cards and collectibles purchases. I have 4 currently bouncing back but all are for cards.

I'm owed $127.50 as of right now.

I will be irate if this doesn't work out...but I have a feeling it will.

I'd say about any lawyer in this country would love to take on this case with even a small (50-100) group of individuals...IF it turns out we never see the money.

Also, this could end up being one of the worst marketing disasters of all time...I'm sure my kids will be reading about this in college marketing text books.

Everything was working fine until just now.. Two purchases from December 1st and 2nd have failed twice. It's just $26, but with everything else I've been hearing...
