If my wife was ill the last thing I would worry about is cards....
That said, if it happened to me I would ask a trusted member (for me it would be Andrew) and send all the cards to him to sort out and get back to their owners. Dump all the cards into a priority box, send it out, and forget about it. Let your friends help you out in your time of need....
With that said, that said, If he is still buying and selling on eBay, shame on him for not taking care of it himself.

Its always been about communication with me. Its the #1 thing into days world.

No know knows whats going to happen tomorrow or the next day. Just be up front and talk, easiest thing to do.

Ok, I feel bad for people who have lost cards. I really do. (Especially when each of your cards are more $$ than any Gwynn I got! :lol: )

The ball got rolling on police action about two weeks ago. We have been examining our options and gave talmer one final chance after we heard about his wife's surgery. But with no response, we r set to file the paperwork or give his local pd a call by the end of the week.

Appreciate all the support. I fully believe this will end up fine for us involved, but it may take some extreme action to get to that point

As an outsider on this sub, although I've subbed to talmer twice prior without any issues, I still fully expect he'll do everyone right.

Def more worried about the health of his wife but someone above posted that he's buying/selling on eBay while this is all happening is what's troubling me... ::facepalm::

I'm sure all will work out and it sucks that all this trouble has to be done to get it resolved..

He bought a '52 auto the first week on Jan and one other item. Far less than his normal but still activity.

I agree with this approach. Just politely knock on the door and explain that you were in the area and wanted to take this problem off of his hands. Frame your explanation for being there as you're a friend trying to help keep the police from knocking on the door.

I would even have someone call him and let him know that someone is coming by to get the cards, leave it on his voicemail when you'll be there and that if he can't or doesn't want to be there that he can leave the cards on the front porch or somewhere safe, yet accessible.

If someone came to my door pissed off, you could forget about me answering. People seem more interested in getting their stuff back than anything else. You obviously don't know anything about Maryland police/highway patrol. People will be waiting a year before they hear anything. Maryland has more serious backlogs of crime to worry about right now than sports cards.

He last posted during the AFC championship game on 1/22. Appears like either he knows he ripped people off (I dont feel this way), or he's embarrassed and just doesn't want to come clean or feel the backlash
