While Gonzalez has 17 homers & 50 RBI, his OBP is under .300.

I totally agree with the other post about the Teixiera trade. Such a crappy trade then and now it is even worse. They don't have anything to show for that deal and could've had their SS and Closer for the next 8 years up in the bigs right now.

He's a slacker and can't even learn english now he has to go learn Canadian. :lol:matty07 said:jbone17 said:ATL got a better deal. Look at what Tim Collins has done please.
Tim Collins is like 4 feet tall and weighs 110lbs soke and wet. Dont get me wrong hes having a great year but I dont know if it will continue to the majors. Alex Gonzalez is not in the Jays future plans what so ever. He was signed this year to fill a need at SS and luckly he's had a great year and we turned it around and got a young SS who has shown he can play

Good for the Braves to get above average replacement for the year that has winning experience with an option for next year that will be around the same amount of money that Yunel is likely to get in arbitration.
I seriously doubt this trade would have happened their were not rumors of team officials growing tired of his attitude.

Sometimes guys need a new atmosphere to get things going and im sure that was his problem. He wasnt happy in ATL and im going to say that has affected his play. Hopefully with a fresh start with the Jays he picks things up like his old self
