Haven't posted in awhile, but have picked up several nice books online recently:

Got a great deal on this one. This author (and this title, in particular) was one of the keys to me becoming an English major/writer waaaaaayyyy back in high school:





Iris Murdoch wrote some phenomenally good fiction in her career. It is a shame that more people don't know of her work.





This is one of three different Ishmael Reed signed copies I picked up recently. A seriously freaky writer, but a real treasure.




Lastly, here is a John Gregory Dunne signed edition. He was a fine writer, and his book about Las Vegas was absolutely amazing.

I've scored many, many signed books of late- the bigger names are:

"Somebody Down Here Likes Me Too"- signed by Rocky Graziano, former middleweight champ
"Major League Dad"- signed by Julie Ruth Stevens, Babe Ruth's daughter
"The Climb"- signed by Anatoli Boukreev (Russian climber) and G. Weston DeWalt, Boukreev died a very short time after this was published
"The Truth"- signed by Al Franken
"A Feel for the Game"- signed by golfer Ben Crenshaw

Really thinking about picking up a copy of "the curious case of Sidd Finch" auto'ed by George Plimpton. What do you guys think would be a good price for it?

Hey all. I've been sitting and going through this entire thread (which I never do). Anyway, I've been book hunting for auto'd books for a little over a year now and would like to share some of my finds with you all. That is, if you could use another voice in here!

Last week I found the following:

Someone must've been throwing out their Paul Theroux collection...
Happy Isles of Oceana - Paul Theroux
Kingdom By The Sea - Paul Theroux
Chicago Loop - Paul Theroux
and
My Losing Season - Pat Conroy

As I get these things photographed I will gladly post pics up in here...

Also, since I live in Knoxville I have acquired many (5, so far) auto'd books by Pat Summitt. If anyone would want to trade for any doubles they may have, let me know.

Hey welcome to this thread!! I'd be interested in a Pat Summit book (assuming hard cover). I have a couple of doubles.

I'm excited. Anyone who knows anything about Minnesota literature knows who this guy is, and he'll be speaking at my school in a few weeks to celebrate the revised edition that's going to be published. I hope to get both versions autographed for my collection.
