Watching the Giants game and they had a great poll question. Who was the best hitter of the 90s not named Barry Bonds. Keep in mind this is a Giants game hence Excluding Bonds.
Griffey Jr.
Gwynn
Piazza
Ivan Rodriguez

My vote is Gwynn even if Bonds was an option. He's the best pure hitter Ive ever seen.
I would make an actual poll but I'm on my iPhone.

In my opinion, it's Griffey Jr

Larry Walker would be in the Top 10 I think..

for the whole 10 year decade I go with Griffey, then Thomas... then Bonds/Gwynn...

people forget how lights out E Martinez was from 95-01, you compare his stats from the second half of the 90s he will beat any righthanded bat

See sig 8-)

I don't think Larry Walker gets the credit he deserves though. He's def top 10, maybe top 5 of the 90's IMO.

I might have to back Mark Grace here, dosent he have the most hits in the 90s ? Some other names that will go not noticed.

Biggio
McGriff
Juan Gon
Steve Finley (1500+ hits)

Don't forget Craig Biggio. I refer you to Bill James's New Historical Abstract for a fairly convincing argument, at least versus Griffey.

How this guy was not an option just baffles me. Boo Giants game crew.
