Where is Justin Smoak? He might the best of the whole group that you listed....

He was jsut never in the conversation, I wasn't saying these are the top 5 players in the draft or anything, those were just the names being thrown around...also, the 80 power thing is ridiculous...80 anything means HOF skills...HOF homerun power would be at least 45 Hr a year...also 60 Hr power is NOT 30 hrs, more like 25..I would say this as averages at each skills level for HR

Since I have never seen in person or would know what too look all I can go off is scouting reports. All reports have Hewitt at 80 raw power. He was the best athlete in the entire draft. Now he is also the most unpolished guy. He will take years to develop but if he does his ceiling is 80 power. Chances of reaching the majors and fulfilling his ceiling are slim but the tools are there.

You really should stop exaggerating. No legit reports have Hewitt as 80 raw power, that's just absurd. Good power, yes, but not 80 power. I know everyone here wants "their guy" to have 80 power or power potential and will claim they do all day, but the reality is that they don't.

What the hell, exaggerating? No legit reports huh? The list this topic is about(BP) says he has 80 raw power. Quote-

" his raw power ranks as a pure, easy 80 on the 20-80 scouting scale."

I know what 80 power means. I was surprised to see them say that too.

I don't own a single card of Hewitt. I know he is going to take awhile so I will wait.

Collier's power will never be 80. I know that, but Hewitt supposedly does get that rating.

Most teams don't even use the 5.... Strict 30-40-50-60 etc.

Also, 40 is major league average. I doubt that means 50 is 10-15 Home runs....

Year in Review: No player in this year's draft generated more widely varying opinions than Hewitt. The Phillies selected him 24th overall, and it was no surprise that he struggled in his pro debut.
The Good: On tools alone, Hewitt is an elite prospect. His combination of a squarely built frame and incredible athleticism drew the occasional comparison to Bo Jackson as an amateur. He's an above-average runner with a cannon for an arm, and his raw power ranks as a pure, easy 80 on the 20-80 scouting scale.
The Bad: There is arguably not a single player in professional baseball with a larger gap between his tools and his baseball skills. Hewitt's swing is long and his pitch recognition non-existent, which led to 55 strikeouts in 117 at-bats during his pro debut. The Phillies wasted no time in moving him from shortstop to third base after signing him, and his footwork there is sloppy, as are his throws.
Fun Fact: In his brief 33-game pro career, Hewitt already has four three-strikeout games, two four-whiff games and one five-strikeout contest.
Perfect World Projection: If everything works out, he's a gold mine...
Glass Half Empty: ...and the same thing could be said about that lottery ticket you just bought.
Path to the Big Leagues: You're joking, right?
Timetable: Hewitt is nowhere close to ready for a full-season assignment. He'll begin the year in extended spring training before reporting to a short-season circuit in June.

Still, I'd have to seriously evaluable the reliablity of a scout who claims any high school player has raw power that is a "pure, easy 80." Maybe the scout just likes to throw around 80 grades, which shouldn't be done, or just doesn't fully understand the scale. Such players are extremely rare.

Good list. I'd put Marson ahead of D'arnaud as of now and I wouldn't have Drabek near the top b/c of injuries.
