Yes, just what the hobby needs... more people who are uneducated on card values :benson:
This is part of the reason why I say there are too many unprofessional ebay sellers - anyone can be one!
I work in the I.T. Department. Would you like me to get you a new keyboard? It looks at though your "Exclamation" key is sticking again.
As far as your 2 cents go...be educated before trying to sell something so you have an idea that the potential buyer is not low balling you and that you don't have to stand behind an American flag to try to sell something over priced on eBay.
My 2 cents. You can have yours back... Ahhhh yes... The life of an I.T. Specialist.
About that keyboard... Call in a ticket and we will get it replaced for you.
There will always be sellers who are uneducated on card values and that will never change. It is not the sellers fault that anyone can sell on Ebay. That doesn't change the fact of what the seller wants for his card and what Ziegler was willing to pay and the exchange that happened between the two of them. That is, unless you feel that the seller should have sold at Zieglars offer. And, if the seller thinks the card is worth $20,000 and Ziegler things it is worth $5000, is either wrong or is the seller unprofessional? In my opinion, absolutely not...
BTW I have been full time in the card business for 20 years and have a tremendous amount of knowledge but I still have a tremendous amount of learning do but don't ascribe to the policy of telling a seller what he SHOULD sell his item for and then call hin uneducated or unprofessional if I don't get my way...
You're agreeing with me that there ARE uneducated and unprofessional sellers on eBay. This doesn't mean I need to purchase from them, nor should I want to promote there being more uneducated and unprofessional sellers. Seems that people here agree the seller is uneducated and if the description fits... it fits.

The seller must be a real ******, who sends an eBay private message conversation to Dead Spin? Who cares if it's with a MLB player or not.
Yes, there are uneducated and unprofessional sellers on Ebay.......The seller said he was new to the hobby but that doesn't make him unprofessional as you indicated. Don't confuse someone wanting more for their card than you may be willing to pay as unprofessional.
A professional knows how much a service or product is worth - and consensus is that this guy doesn't know how much his product is worth. This alone makes this seller unprofessional.
To paraphrase what you said: Don't confuse someone who doesn't know what something's worth with a professional.
Sounds like they're in the biggest dick contest and tied for last place.
Are you one of the judges? lol
yes and Dave said ok guys draw straws and <motioned towards there pants>, and how did I know, someone had to hold the video camera
The whole problem here is that the seller has no idea what the card even is and therefore can not know the value of what he has.
The seller must be a real ******, who sends an eBay private message conversation to Dead Spin? Who cares if it's with a MLB player or not.
As a seller I love when someone says "your never going to get that price" then a week later I get the price I wanted.
