Saw him on ESPN this morning giving an interview about ARod. The kid has worked hard and deserves to be starting in CF opening day. What do you guys think?

And what type of weather do you think the Bronx has in the summer? It isn't exactly cool here from June to September.
Just remember though, Gardner has done this before, with little results later on. Although, he hasn't ever been handed a legit chance at starting until now.

While Damon and Soriano are fast guys they also provide 20+ HR power. I believe Gardner is quicker than those two and is more of a "table setter" That is the kinda player he was at College Of Charleston .... speed, avg. and hard worker. I'm glad for him.LLWesMan said:CAROLINA BOSOX said:First time in a while that I can remember the Yanks having a speedy lead off guy.
What about Damon or Soriano?
