Outside of some perhaps closeted homosexual urges towards Starling with the continued mention of his nipples, I don't get why everyone is blowing up about this.

Instead of bagging the fact that this was clearly shot in color, then knocked down to B&W, why not crucify Leaf for probably shooting digital instead of on film? How about lynching them for using a typeset signature on the mock-up instead of his actual signature? I can just see some clown screaming "false advertising" because the real Starling signature doesn't match the mock-up.

So they paid homage to one of the "classic" cards of the hobby heyday with a whopping 25 cards and get railed on.

In the words of Judge Smails, "Don't you people have homes?"

The original is art. I think that is what is driving the criticism.

I think the comparison of Bubba Starling to Bo Jackson is what really got this going. Sure there's the off chance that hey may get there, but come on now- just an ignorant comment.

Fixed part of it for you and I know I know still funny though as that was the most used term at local shop about it, I find it interesting and could see it becoming Bieber-like (disclaimer: I hate Bieber)

Why are people here so freaking angry lately. People need to just chill the F out sometimes. This is a TRADING CARD site meant for discussion about TRADING CARDS. No need for such vitriol about TRADING CARDS.

Its almost comical. The Bo Jackson, an iconic image, shot with actual black & white film, using some lighting, and has some general depth to the photo.

The Bubba, shot in color and cheaply swapped to black & white with a post process makes the photo come off very cheap and unprofessional.

Plus, the bat's backwards.

Interesting convo, Brian don't be offended. This is a public Sports Card Forum and people are just voicing there opinions. Yes some harsher than others but at the end of the day when the numbers are in and you see how much of your product sells. I am pretty sure you will be happy.

Bo is already in the College Football HOF.

I'll take a free box of Leaf Ali.

Thanks for the bet.

I was talking about PRO HALL OF FAMES.

BG

P.s.- 859 players are in the College HOF, 253 in the NFL. The NFL is VERY loose in its selections. What does that say about the College HOF?

We are sold out.
In that sense you are right.

We showed this card off in Vegas last week and overwhelmingly, people loved the card!

More schools, more records, more of a past. 113 Division 1-A Schools alone, not counting D-1AA, D2, and DIII

so lets say about 400 schools total that is around 2 per school, while NFL is averaging 8 per team.

Big difference
