The fact I'm not too sad by this as a Dolphins fan probably means Vikings fans probably won't be too excited. Though he may not be spectacular, he is a solid player. One of those guys that really has maxed out his potential, but by playing smart and hard has become a legitimate player. More a possession guy......rarely, if ever drops the ball.

Sad to see Sapp go, but I think this is a good trade for both teams.

Benny Sapp was never supposed to be more than a nickel guy, and with Cook playing well, he was expendable.

I like this deal.

yay :D not sure why just felt like it

I have one of those.
For whatever reason I really love that card......something with the blue ink and on card autograph. Really looks sharp.

And I agree with you Lally1 - One of the Dolphins biggest needs after the first 2 games is def. backfield depth and special teams. So while it would have been nice to keep Camarillo around....it looks like Sapp could potentially be more valuable, so like you said - a deal that helps both teams.
Now I just have to knock on wood that nothing happens to Marshall, Hartline or Bess.

I like Miami's receiving corps a lot, and think that they will help Henne put up some nice numbers this year.

Detox, I don't know if they're publicly shopping him, put Chilly is committed to Joe Webb as a QB, and I doubt they would be able to sneak him through to the practice squad. I'm guessing they'll do their best to try to get a 5th rounder for him, although that may be wishful thinking.

Is it true Minny is shopping Sage?

Danny Boy - I believe they are, since Sage had some less than stellar comments about Favre coming back and Childress.

I'm pretty excited about the Dolphins WR's as well. It's amazing what happens when you add a guy like Marshall and then everyone else is slotted into the roles they are more suited for. i.e.- Bess having to be your primary receiver is kind of iffy, but Bess as a slot 3rd receiver seems very promising.

Looks like Patrick Turner will have a chance to stick around with Miami.....may even get some playing time this year.
Though I think making Camarillo expendable was less to do with Turner and more to do with the URFA'S.
Roberto Wallace has the physical tools.....but the real hidden gem could turn out to be Marlon Moore. Interesting to see how they do now as they move up the depth chart.

I just read that when the Minnesota papers asked Benny Sapp about the trade his response was
"I'm taking my talents to South Beach"
