1) Rip more wax. I haven't opened a whole box in years, but I anticipate breaking a good amount of Topps Heritage. That will allow me to reach goal #2.
2) Get a Sandy Koufax Real One red auto from Topps Heritage. I'm hoping it's in my case.
3) I'd like to knock out some of the Sizemore cards I need from the '00s. Some are very tough, some I've only seen once or nonce, but they've got to be out there. 2004 Pristine Gold auto, 2008 Timelines auto, 2005(?) Donruss Team Heroes #/10, various 1/1s are at the top of the list.
4) Get the 1975 Topps PSA 8 card that's incorrectly listed as a mini changed to a regular so my registry set will go back up to 100% officially. I've only been putting that off for 3 years.
5) Depending on what they look like, go after the Topps Heritage Chrome Black Refractor set.
6) Finish some sets I've got hanging out forever: 1955 Bowman, 2005 Old Judge Golds #/20 Chris Burke, 2008 Timelines #/25. Get at least the Joe D or Ted Williams for my 1941 Play Ball.
7) Find a complete GU jersey of Sizemore.
8) Figure out what major PSA graded set I'm going to spend the rest of my life building, T-206, 1933 Goudey, or 1952 Topps. Right now I'm leaning to '33 in PSA 4-5.
9) Get a set of Mishra's Workshops (expensive nerdy MTG cards).
10) Sell a ton of stuff to pay for 1-9.
11) Finally build a website for my collections. I've been planning on using it as a tool for learning Ruby, but I'd like to just get it done already.
Haha, I was so naive back then. Ripped just a few packs of wax, couldn't commit to any boxes or cases. Found a 2008 Timelines Sizemore autograph, but I probably only found a few of his older rare cards. He's just not a popular sales item ATM. Only found a couple cards for the low-print-run sets I'm working on, but made good progress on 1955 Bowman. Started a website, but I build websites for a living so the last thing I want to do when I get home is spend more time building websites. I did start on a new project set that's almost done (Lineage mini jerseys) but the Mantle eludes me at a reasonable price.
For 2012, it's likely just Sizemore, Thomas, and completing sets that have been hanging around forever. I don't foresee ripping a ton of wax or any new project sets, but that probably means that I'll become a bigger ripper than Brentandbecca and get deeply involved in a half-dozen new rare sets. Still need to swap out my missing 1975 PSA 8, though. That's annoying.
koufax did not have a red auto in heritage, and neither did aaron. both were sp's, and blue ink only.
