I thought someone did a last minute bid on the green?

Two questions for those of you that follow these.

How often do the Crusades tend to pop up, and were these ending prices typical of what they reach at auction, or was the price bumped by the fact that he had so many listed at once?

I always thought the Crusades were nice cards, but now I'm going to be trying a little more actively to pick up the Pirates from the set.

Can't say from a general standpoint, but I'm pretty sure most rarely get listed.
Purple & Reds pretty much NEVER.
This was a very rare occasion where a set was being broken, and that gave alot of player collectors the opportunity to pick theirs up. You will probably never see so many listed again.

I bid on almost all of them, but won only one Kevin Millwood (woo flippin hoo). But I did win a 1993 Finest Refractor of Kevin Mitchell . . . needed that card for awhile. And then, I purchased his Crusade Set of Will Clark through email, so I had a good haul overall.

And I agree, we will never see something like this on ebay again . . . well, at least for a LONG time. I suppose he still has some purples and reds to list, so that will be even more fun to watch, but after that, this type of seller may never surface again.

And yeah, I can't believe Charlie Hayes 1993 Finest Refractor sold for $255 & Willie Greene for $161. I had no idea some of the 1993 commons could still fetch crazy prices like that.

I almost went after the Millwood but I decided to go after Smoltz/Glavine instead... did that one end about 13?

Yeah he had 2 Sosas. The guy who bid last minute is the other big time Sosa collector on ebay.

Mind if I ask how much he wanted for the Red Sosa?

Art

He originally asked for $400 and I got it for $250.

Great deal! Any chance your gonna get the promo or is he unwilling to budge on that?

I know, scan or ban, but the red Crusade of Tony Clark has been purchased and will be here shortly. Finally secured the white whale for this amazing insert set.

Thanks! Cost me $80, including insurance and DC, but it was worth it.
