I don't have the wright anymore, but I used to have his 2006 Hawaii Trade Conference jumbo (here's a Jeter for reference).

Really great looking card. Do you have it?

Holy heck, that's a sweet card! And no, I don't have one unfortunately. I only saw one, maybe two ever surface, and I missed out. Bummer! But great card, thanks for sharing!

Howdy all! Nothing too glamorous today, but I'm just happy I am able to post at all given my recent schedule. Just a pair of eight card rainbow runs.

2005 Donruss; base, 25th Anniversary Edition /25, Stat Line Career /263, Stat Line Season /77, Press Proof Red /200, Press Proof Blue /100, Press Proof Gold /50, Press Proof Black /25. Complete runs, as there are no 1/1's. I am a bit disappointed with how the photos of the two Stat Line cards came out. They are both foil, with the Season card a particularly nice rainbow-ish foil. Combine that with what I consider poor photos of the second set I will post about below, I really need to rethink the lighting and such here. I'm poor, so I don't have a fancy scanner or camera, but I am sure I can come up with something better. Bear with me here.

2005 Donruss Champions; base, Impressions, Impressions Red /250, Impressions Blue /100, Impressions Orange /75, Impressions Gold /50, Impressions Green /25, and Impressions Black /5. Also a complete run, as there is no 1/1 parallel. I have to say, the most difficult to find was the orange /75. I don't know what it was, I just couldn't find it anywhere, for years! I slightly overpaid at around $8 +shipping for the card a few years ago, and then right after that of course, I saw a bunch surface....with one on COMC that I think was only $3. Oops! The black parallel isn't exactly black. Obviously that would be too difficult to see against the black logo areas and such, so it is more of a foil-ish darker grey. This is not important at all, I just felt like giving the weird details :)

2005 Leaf Certified Materials; base, Mirror White, Mirror Red /100, Mirror Blue /50, Mirror Emerald /5. Pretty apparent I am missing the Mirror Gold /25, as this run could definitely use some yellow! Mirror Black is the 1/1.
Resized_20210721_180710.jpeg

Ok, so I've skipped some other three to four card sets that I have, even with low serial numbering. I just like this one, sometimes simple is best. Just a base, bronze, silver, and gold, easy-peasy. I've come to realize I like colored backgrounds/borders better than cards that only differentiate by having colored foil, like the Donruss or Champions sets. Anyways; base /699, Spotlight Bronze /99, Spotlight Silver /50, Spotlight Gold /25. There is a Spotlight Platinum 1/1, fyi.
Resized_20210721_181033.jpeg

2005 National Pastime. Another small set, but I managed to find the 1/1 parallel, so I of course have to post it! Base /699, Red /150, Blue /1. As usual, I apologize for the less than stellar photos. I tried taking them on a white background, to see if that helped. Apparently not.

2005 Origins; base, Red /99, Blue /50, Gold /20 of both Origins series and the Old Judge series. Another simple and somewhat nice looking set. There is a Black 1/1, which of course I don't have, haha.
Resized_20210721_223145.jpeg

2005 Playoff Prestige has quite a bit of parallels. There is a base card and a Red Foil card /25, which was exclusive to retail packs. There are also a series of four X-Tra Bases parallels, Red /200, Purple /100, Green /50, Black /25.

Then it gets a bit confusing.....for me at least. There are these Playoff Champions parallels. I believe they were some sort of redemption based card. But before I even get to the parallel cards, first I need to talk about the Champions Combos cards. According to baseballcardpedia, well, I'll just paste it in here (Playoff Champions Combos is a 120-card set that was part of a contest -- similar to the old Upper Deck Predictors. Each of the 30 MLB teams has four cards (Wild Card, Division, League, and World Series), with the same three players appearing on all four cards. If the team wins the event listed on the card, the collector can redeem it for a special 200-card factory set). The Mets had Mike Piazza, Kazuo Matsui, and David Wright on those Playoff Champions Combos cards. I have all four of those sitting in my COMC inventory, so I'll eventually get around to officially having them in-hand someday.

So I think it went something like this (and anyone with better knowledge can correct me if I'm wrong). Cards of teams that did not make the playoffs in any capacity were unredeemable. Example, Mets cards weren't in the playoffs that year and therefore their Combos card is not redeemable for one of those special factory sets. However, the Houston Astros won the NL Wild Card (back when they were an NL team). Therefore, anyone with the NL Wild Card Astros Combos card could redeem it for a factory set of "NL Wild Card" parallels. They also won the NLCS, so the NLCS Astros Combo card could be redeemed for the "NLCS" factory set, and so on. The cards from those factory sets are considered Playoff Champions parallels.

There are eleven of these parallels, breakdown and print runs are as follows (note, these cards are not stamped, the print runs are just the number of actual redemptions for each);
AL Wild Card /13
NL Wild Card /15
AL East Champs /20
AL Central Champs /27
AL West Champs /17
NL East Champs /18
NL Central Champs /21
NL West Champs /18
AL Champs /12
NL Champs /7
WS Champs /19
Obviously these were no Division Series sets, since there are two per league, so no one team could be the redemption Combos card. I have the following; NL WC, AL East, AL West, NL Central, NL West, WS. I also have the NL East in my COMC inventory. Still have a few to go, but these are tough. I'd LOVE to see if anyone has put an entire set of their player together......that would be quite an accomplishment!!

Howdy folks! Easy day today, no crazy parallels with crazy stories.

2005 Reflections; base, Purple /99, Red /99, Blue /75, Turquoise /50, Emerald /25. There is also a Platinum 1/1 that I don't have. Guess the only thing that stands out to me is the two parallels numbered /99. Why two? Could have done a /150 is they wanted both a red and purple. A bit strange to me.

Another nice and easy one. 2005 Timeless Treasures; base /799, Bronze /100, Silver /50, Gold /25. As with the above set, this one also have a Platinum 1/1 parallel.

2005 Reflections is one of my favorite sets of all time and I'm fairly close to having all of the 5 parallel sets completed for the A's...I wasn't really annoyed there were two different /99 parallels but it was bothersome they had a Blue and a Turquoise parallel, pretty similar colors. At least they weren't the two parallels both numbered /99, that would have been the worst.

That would be pretty fun to see when complete! Remember to show it off when you do. Happen to have any Platinums? Just curious what they look like.

Yes yes, the turquoise and blue is also a bit peculiar. Haha, and definitely would have been something had they both been /99.

I'm not posting the 2005 Topps Total cards at the moment, but I thought these plates were pretty neat. I don't know too many sets where the front and back plates are pack inserted. I'm assuming these are other sets out there, but I have never seen any. I guess if you count the old Pacific backdoored plates, I know they had both fronts and backs. I have a few of those featuring McGwire. For these below, the back plate is Magenta and the front is Yellow.

2005 Turkey Red (and 2006) are some of my favorite cards. Just love the look and feel of these. I will definitely get to the game used and autographed cards I have in some time, but for now, here are the base cards and parallels; base, Red, White, Black limited, but not serial numbered to /142, and Gold /50.

I have a couple, they have a grayish/silverish tone to them. I don't think the coloring shows up that well with my scanner, especially with the dual sig card. Though I do like the font UD used for the 1/1 cards that Panini blatantly copied years later.

Mark! I thought I lost you buddy! Scrolling through here I now know where several 1/1's I have been chasing are. I will look no further. I am up to ~4500 unique cards spanning his rookie years to current (if only they would slow down a little for me so I could catch up). Here is some pics of my card room and how we have him set up. This has been amazing looking through here and seeing your collection. LGM!

Oh no, I'm still here, lol! Nice to hear from you, I see you have been busy. Great stuff! I've been a bit out of it recently, to be honest. Not too many pick-ups. Prices are just crazy now-a-days. And yeah, I hear ya on the new releases, it's insane to keep up. Keep at it though!

Let's go Mets!!

Cheers, Mark

So I figured I would actually post my smaller runs. I mean, why not, right? I'm just going to shove them all here in one post though....

2005 Artifacts; base /1350, Rainbow Blue /100, Rainbow Red /50. Missing Rainbow Gold /25. Rainbow Platinum is your 1/1.
Resized_20210726_180234.jpeg

2005 Donruss Classics; base, Timeless Tributes Silver /100, Timeless Tributes Gold /50. Timeless Tributes Platinum is your 1/1.
Resized_20210726_180321.jpeg

2005 Fleer Platinum; base /1000, Platinum Finish /199, Platinum Extreme /20. No 1/1 parallel. I wish the picture was better, the Extreme card is a nicely foiled card, but here, it just looks like another base. Ehh, of well.
Resized_20210726_180409.jpeg

2005 Fleer Tradition; base, Gray Back, Gray Back Yellow Lettering, not serial numbered, but print run of /185. No 1/1 parallel. That Yellow Lettering card is a sneaky difficult one to find.
Resized_20210726_180437.jpeg

2005 Prime Cuts; base /449, Century Silver /50, Century Gold /25. Century Platinum is the 1/1.
Resized_20210726_180538.jpeg

2005 Skybox Autographics; base /750, Insignia /150, Royal Insignia /25. No 1/1.
Resized_20210726_180607.jpeg

2005 Studio; base, Silver Proof /100, Gold Proof /25. I'm missing the Platinum Proof /10. The insert set below is the Stars set; base, Gold /500, Platinum /50. No 1/1's for either.
Resized_20210726_180742.jpeg

2005 Throwback Threads; base, Gold Century Proof /100, Platinum Blue Century Proof /10. This set has been a pain for quite some time. There are the following additional parallels; Green Century Proof (not serial numbered) and the Blue Century Proof /150. Where are they?!?!? Haven't found one ever! If anyone has any info about this series and why those seemingly plentiful proofs are impossible to find, please do share. I know the Greens were exclusive to blaster boxes....but not those at major retailers, so that might make some sense out of why they are difficult. The Century Blues were, however, exclusive to major retailers in hobby packs and blasters. So I would think you should be able to find those, perhaps easier than the Greens.
Resized_20210726_180811.jpeg

2005 Topps Cracker Jack; base, Red Mini, Grey Mini /25, sticker. Missing the Blue Mini /50. The White Mini is the 1/1.
Resized_20210726_180840.jpeg

2005 Topps Heritage; base, Chrome /1956, Chrome Refractor /556. Missing that darned Black Refractor /56. I'll get one eventually, but I know a lot of folks collect those sets, so it makes them harder to obtain.

2005 Ultra; base, Gold Medallion, Platinum Medallion /50. No 1/1.
Resized_20210726_181026.jpeg

2005 Upper Deck; base, Retro, American Flag /15. No 1/1.
Resized_20210726_181043.jpeg

2005 Zenith; base, Museum Collection, Artist's Proof Silver, Artist's Proof Gold /50. No 1/1. It wasn't until pretty recently I learned that there were two additional parallels. Z-Silver and Z-Gold. Z-Silver was easy to find, and it is in my COMC inventory. It's simply the base card with silver instead of gold lettering and such. I haven't found a Z-Gold yet, and I bet they will be more tricky to find. They look almost exactly like the base cards, except the gold foil at the bottom is kinda shimmery. Hard to describe.
Resized_20210726_181118.jpeg

So that pretty much does it for 2005's base and parallel cards. There are a handful more I have, but nothing special. I'll move on to 2005 game used cards next!

I made a little error when going through my 2004 cards. I forgot to post my few autographs from that year. So before I move on to g/u cards from 2005, I will just backtrack a bit here.

2004 Donruss Elite Extra Edition. In my earlier posts, I pictured a few of the base cards and parallels. I did not show the one insert I have, which is the Round Numbers card /500. The card below is the autographed version of that card /25. There are a few more autographs from this series I do not have. They are autographed versions of the base card and parallels. The base auto is /5 and the Turn of the Century auto is /5. The others (Aspirations, Status and golds) are all 1/1's.
Resized_20210729_130107.jpeg

2004 Studio. There are three autographs in this series. They are all based off of the base card. The subset is called Private Signings. There is a Silver /10, Gold /5, and a Platinum /5 also. It is one of those "print runs vary by player" types, hence the strange /10, /5 and another /5 here.
Resized_20210729_130153.jpeg

2004 Ultimate Collection. The only autograph from this series is a Dual Materials Signature cards with Jose Reyes /25.
Resized_20210729_130209.jpeg

That should wrap up 2004. These should be all the autographs from that year; the ones I posted and the ones I mentioned from Donruss Elite Extra Edition that I am missing.

A week of so ago I accidentally deleted an entire posting. Oops! So I am going to quickly repost the photos with a short blurb about each set. Probably won't get into as much detail as I might originally have done.

2005 Donruss Elite; base, Turn of the Century /750, Aspirations /95, Status /5, Status Gold /24. Similar to the 2004 set, the Aspirations and Status print runs add up to /100, with the Status being numbered to the player's jersey number and Aspirations making u the difference. Also like the 2004 set, I just love to die cuts and color schemes!
Resized_20210720_174832.jpeg

2005 Donruss Team Heroes; base, Showdown Red, Showdown Blue, Showdown Bronze /100, Showdown Silver /50. Missing the Showdown Gold /10. Will be fun to complete this one.
Resized_20210720_175252.jpeg

2005 Fleer Showcase; base, Showtime /99, Showdown /15. Each of these also came in a Masterpiece 1/1 parallel. I was able to find the base card's version. The foil is Purple, as Fleer did around this time with their 1/1's.

Starting the 2005 game used cards!! As with the base and parallel cards, I probably won't post each and every card I have, but a good bunch of the interesting ones.

Starting out with 2005 Absolute Memorabilia. The only game used cards I believe Wright to be on are the Team Quads (also featuring Rickey Henderson, Edgardo Alfonzo, and Robin Ventura). There is both a base version /150, and a Spectrum parallel /100.
