I am one of those guys.

After a long layover, I'm back into collecting. The cards I am collecting, however, and moreover, the amount I'm spending dictates that I start to sell some of the incredible inserts I have. I wanted to join this thread to talk baseball cards and to see if anyone is interested in the cards I have. Some of which are incredibly rare, so rare that price guides say "No pricing due to scarcity".

Anyways, I'm glad to be apart of such a great thread. I hope more join!

Just joined last night...found this site through a link on a thread over at Blowout.

Been a collector on and off since the days of the NBC Saturday Game of the Week (late 1970s) and a Phillies fan just as long. Was eight when the Phils won their first WS in 1980 and enjoyed that moment with my dad. Was fortunate enough to enjoy their second title in 2008 with my own eight year-old.

I currently collect Jarrod Parker, Gerrit Cole, and Jameson Taillon.

Glad to be aboard!

Hi! I'm a Japanese but a serious MLB card collector.
Please, no flames about my bad English.

I'm collecting any Chuck Knoblauch and Tim Lincecum cards, and have many other themes. We hope to discuss or trade cards, information with you!

My blog address is:

Sorry, the text is Japanese only but the photos of my trade lists are easily understandable.

Best regards,

6thcard

Hey everyone. I joined this afternoon after my friend cubuffs13 told me about it. So far I'm liking what I see. I'm a big Ripken collector with over 1200 unique cards and tons of Ripken nic-nacs and memorabilia. Check out my bucket.

Hey all, like many new additions I'm a guy who used to collect back in the day but fell out of it. Huge Jays fan but my focus was always 1952-1975 Topps and Nolan Ryan cards.

Got pulled back into cards by a love of prospecting in a deep fantasy league I'm in, was very vocally the high man on Mike Trout last year in our February draft and that huge success made me want to get some of his cards. Unfortunately seems I got on the bandwagon right as everyone else did as prices seem to have doubled since I starting buying about a month ago. Favourite pickup so far being a 1/1 printing plate of his Bowman Platinum base card. Also been buying some Dom Brown, Chapman and Sano cards as well as a few of my pet fantasy guys like Tony Sanchez and Brett Jackson. Course now I have to supplement this spending so likely to start selling a few of my older cards, had always meant to pare down the collection anyway and will certainly sell my 70's stuff and likely the late half of the 60's as well(except the Nolan Ryans of course).

Anyhow, pleased to join and hope I can find ways to add to the discussion.

As if you haven't heard this story enough, I'm a returning collector after taking ~10 years off. I think my primary focus will be building sets and collecting various insert sets, although I will likely be selling any valuable hits to help finance my set collections! I primarily have been buying on eBay since there are no card shops near my house, so I am super excited about finding a site where I can start trading with people. I live in the Houston area and would enjoy finding a group nearby to trade with, buy in bulk, etc. Nice to meet everybody!

Greetings everyone! I am a 29 year old collector from south Georgia. I moved to California in 2002 after the Marine Corps took me there and I haven't left yet. I love the sport of baseball and my Atlanta Braves. I have been collecting off and on from my teen years until now and I mostly collect sets. Right now I am working on completing my 1973 and 1974 sets. I am only really interested in singles/Game Used/Autograph cards if they are Braves. Real high on my want list is anything related to Jason Heyward.

In addition to cards, I also collect jerseys and hats. I have a blog that follows the progress of the book I am writing about baseball uniforms. It can be found here.

I live in the Palm Springs area and would love to meet more collectors in my area and anywhere else that would like to trade.

Hi everyone. My name is David. Some of you might recognize me from Sports Card Forum where I've got ~100 positive feedback. I'm also on ebay as normandavid where I have over 1200 positives. Additionally, I had a table at last week's Sportacular show. I know I met bouwob and sold him some Nolan Ryan cards and I'm sure I inadvertently met some other people here as well.

Hello everybody! My name is Matt. I am 25 years old and live in Kansas. I started collecting in the early 1990s and sort of lost interest around 1996. But now I am re-visiting my childhood hobby.

I am a sucker for the inserts of my day. I can't resist when I see a Donruss Elite card or 1995 Leaf Studio Platinum card for sale on eBay. These cards are worth next to nothing now, but I feel like I have fulfilled a lifelong dream when I get one. I also love the oddball sets (like the Milkbone set where the players are pictured with their dogs).

I don't know too much about the newer sets, but I am learning little by little. I am mostly in to collecting retired players or those who started their careers in the 1990s (Jeter, Manny, Johnny Damon). Some of my favorites to collect are Gary Carter, Dale Murphy, Bo Jackson, and Dave Parker ( the latter two I am actively pursuing). I also like to collect celebrity / non baseball inserts especially Jennie Finch!

I look forward to being part of this awesome forum!

Here are some of my "treasures"

I've been reading this board for quite a while but only joined recently. Twenty three-year-old who started collecting in 1993 and hasn't stopped since. I'm a die-hard Mariners fan (slaps forehead) and the number one player I collect is Ken Griffey Jr. I love busting wax but I've started to dabble in prospecting and of course I'm always adding to the Griffey and M's PC.

Looking forward to contributing positively to a great community!
