Kind of funny they give the ability to block, but still allow buyers a workaround to not be blocked... if this is true, then it is very clearly poorly conceived.

crap, i didnt realize that if you change your username (which is easy to do..), then that buyer can bid on the seller who originally blocked his 1st username??? that's stupid...ugh!

thats for the heads up though...

Normally the name is automatically switched over on your blocked buyer/bidder list. I just checked mine and his name was already switched over to unlimitedsuperstars on the block list.

Re: Ebay Bidders to Block

I have to say, this thread is confusing. We should make it, "Top 3 buyers to Block". That makes it easier to single people out.

I've only ever blocked one person, and that's only after they got psycho on me. I forget how to look my blocked buyers, but the story is, he bought something from me...a few days passed and he didn't pay. So I reached out to him to see if there was something holding him up. He told me he had bought a ton of cards that same night and needed to sort things out, but that he would pay me. So I waited a few more days. Finally, I got tired of waiting, and asked him to pay. His response was, "I don't have your item in my "won" list, so I'm not sure what you are talking about."

So I forwarded him his message to me from earlier where he said he would pay me once he got things straighten out, and now he doesn't recall buying the item. Even after eBay verified to him that he bought the item, he asked me to include a return policy when my listing doesn't have one. I refused, so he refused to pay. I opened a case against him and he lost. So he got all worked up.

Anyway, I've had some shady buyers, but I rarely block people. Only if they go wacko on me.

The funny thing is, a few weeks later, this guy tried to buy another card from me. Why would you buy something from a seller you previously had problems with and sent nasty messages to? When he found out I blocked him, he got all worked up again. HA!

Re: Ebay Bidders to Block

lmk_peoples - left negative feedback on two items without trying to work it out, claims haven't received cards and it had been three weeks when it had not even been two; I suspect he has the cards already; took a while to pay and tried to claim that we relisted the card after he paid which was not true; we listed a second card which he won in auction as well ; so gave two negative feedbacks; others have had problems apparently

I have sold to tonsofprospects(unlimitedsuperstars) before. He usually pays around the 10th day and I think I've cut him slack since he is/was a boardmember. If you block him you could be losing a buyer but if you need your money promptly then don't allow him to bid.

He fairly recently won something from me as well, paid on day 10 or 11.....

I have him blocked and will keep him blocked, but what the hell is the deal with this? There can not be a legitimate reason why he pays for EVERYTHING ten days after he wins.

Becasue he can, and eBay will never do a thing about it.

Re: Ebay Bidders to Block

you can get him down to 8 days by opening up a NPB claim after 4 days and then ebay gives him 4 more days

Update on this guy, I asked him to revise and he emailed me back that it was revenge for his brother

brandon*jennings

who I left a nuetral for because he took two weeks to drop a card in the mail. So my negative will be removed but I suggest blocking both.

Said he never got MCG codes but despite there being 1000000000000 percent proof he did, I still lost the case. Typical ebay.

I'm not sure why he does it but without his bids my cards would have sold for less. I'm not worried because he will pay. The little extra time he takes paying is well worth the boost in sales. I could understand blocking him if he was a NPB but he isn't. Having him on your blocked list may have already cost you some dough. If immediate payment is what you are after then maybe you might want to list all your cards as BIN's with immediate payment required. Seems like bad business to me but to each their own.

Re: Ebay Bidders to Block

immediate payment is not the issue, it's the wondering "if" someone is ever going to pay. With the amount of NPBers around nowadays, it almost a crapshoot whether you'll get paid or not. After several days go by and the buyer doesn't have the courtesy of contact of some type, he can go **** himself.

Re: Ebay Bidders to Block

Yeah I don't think you're understanding....

If Im selling on eBay im fully prepared to get what I get for the card. eBay can be a crapshoot. The issue I had with the guy was not only his time to pay but his lack of communication. He took 5 days to pay, I asked nicely and he paid promptly. He got the cards less than 2 days later and decided to drop 2 negs because he doesnt like being told what to do.

Obviously has some social issues....as I asked him nicely to pay, shipped promptly and I get the neg?

He's blocked because I can't take negs that aren't justified and on top of that im not going to let people take forever to pay and then get negged.

Re: Ebay Bidders to Block

I have a seller that pissed me off today who goes by the name zuy_guy78. Here's the story.

I won two seperate auctions from the seller on Feb 18th. Each auction had shipping at $3.95 each. He kindly combined shipping so I only had to pay $5.95 for shipping ::facepalm::. I get an email yesterday that the items were shipped, which is exactly a week from the date I paid.

I asked the seller if they really just shipped on the 26th. He replied "Hey you just paid me on the 26th and yes they did just got mailed sat." Too bad I paid on the 18th. So I paid $6 for shipping and the guy holds the stuff for over a week before shipping. I know if I was going to charge that much for shipping I would get the stuff in the mail within 10 minutes of the buyer paying.

I don't think this is block worthy as long as the cards are decent and actually get to me, but it is still bad business.

Lame!

I'd suggest doing a poll and people can vote. Obviously, it's up to you to do your own research but this is a riff off the comment that this thread was getting confusing with so many names. I also see familiar names on these list that are currently on mine.
