I'm in the middle of dealing with this problem user, theturson, over $5.79.
theturson won two items ($5.79 including S&H) and asked to pay $5.50 with another Paypal account. Read: this person has problems with their account and needs to use someone else's. Red flags go up.
I said I need full payment via Paypal or they can send $5.50 cash. I also expect payment within 5 days (it had been a full 7 days) which I reminded theturson.
All of the sudden, I'm out of line and rude. This from theturson's follow-up e-mail "i will never send cash and the fact you asked me to pay cash is an ebay violation which can be reported" followed by "Well i am glad i havenmt left all my feedbacks yet that shows your true colors."
So here we have a person insulted by me asking for cash AND instead of sending the full $5.79 theturson sends $5.55 from someone's Paypal account. With payment also comes this, "i look forward to my cards by saturday or i file a dispute is that a kind of answer you like to see?" Demanding the cards by Saturday was probably an ode to my Payment Within Five Days Rule.
Anyway, I refund the $5.55 and tell theturson the invoice is for $5.79. If I'm getting neg'd I want the full $5.79.
theturson's response to the refund, "oh you arte going to be like that...Well enjoy the feedback i leave. I expect my cards by saturday. Have a good day." I'm going to be like that? Not take full payment? Yeah, I'll be like that.
Then I'm sent the $5.79 with, "i am leaving negative feedback for your attitude. I didn't ask you for anything or blackmail or anything i am telling you that i am leaving for these 2 transactions. SO say bye to the 100% feedback and learn how to treat customers who are trying to pay. Don't act like a jerk or tell peopel to pay cash." Didn't ask me for anything? What about a discount AND demanding cards by a certain day?
I've received negatives for the two cards even before shipping them out and am in the process of trying to get eBay to toss the negs. I think I have a case, plus I didn't do theturson the favor of volleying e-mail's back and forth once he started to threaten me with leaving a negative for my "attitude."
I still have the cards in hand and won't mail them until the negs are gone. Since theturson didn't pay with the Paypal account linked to their username, My eBay shows I have not received payment. This should help as well.
I mean, you decided and block on your own, but knowing this person is out in the eBay community, willing to drop negatives and "ruin" 100% feedback based on their interpretation of a seller's attitude is nothing short of ridiculous.
