Yeah, this will really encourage people to speak openly and honestly about their concerns with a company. Speak out, "hate on" or whatever you want to call it and get challenged to a debate with someone who has access to tremendous amounts of inside information that can be angled to battle formulated observational data. BG should stick to what he says all the time and "let [his] products do the talking."

I think the problem I have is that Bob, and some others, aren't just criticizing or complaining but making some very serious allegations against a person and a company that are either unsubstantiated, exaggeratedXor simply false that can be very damaging. It's one thing to complain about the content or production of a product but when you start accusing someone of unethical or even borderline criminal behavior that's a completely different ballgame. That's why I don't get the criticism against Brian for wanting to stick up for himself or his company. X

Big props to BG and sticking up for his company. He is a collector just like all of us and refreshing to see him stand up and offer to set record straight with Loblaw.

Would be great if Topps, UD, panini did it.

Jeff, #2 above is a lie. It was under 50% and I clearly explained the use of these cards.

Keep up falsehoods like this ..it will not serve you well..

BG

P.s.- I thought you were dome with me? Another lie?

How do you know it's a lie, Mr. Gray?

How do you know that that particular eBayer only had "under 50% of the print run?" How do you know he didn't have 80%? Couldn't he have bought the other 30% from the open market? Or from other collectors who had the cards? Or he opened a ton of the Rookie Retro product?

Or was it because you sent him exactly "under 50% of the print run" directly?

You've been here for 3 months. You don't know what you're talking about. What "allegations" are you speaking of?

There've been 10 other threads that Gilmo locked where BG had an opportunity to respond to criticism.

Jeff,
The people on this board are not stupid. They see how you carefully word things to stay just inside the lines of a libel claim.

I know the print run on rookie retro... I can assure you that we used a majority of the cards in that product.

You can spread rumors and attempt to slyly insinuate false things, but it merely shows the type of individual you are.

I will take Matt's advice here and let the products do the talking.

Until you can be mature, professional or even the slightest bit fair,... I won't waste even another second on you..

Please keep your promise and be done with me,... Or, was that just another lie?
BG

Ps- I have never sent or sold that guy one card.. I'm stating that as fact. Ive said this 10 times, but either you can't read, can't comprehend such a difficult sentence or you are being a troll and ignoring the truth...

This has gotten very heated (understandably), but this thread, the potential debate, and both main parties involved is one of many things that makes FCB great:

1. The owner of a card brand posting regularly is a very cool thing. Whether or not we agree with BG's ideas/posts/products is one thing. The fact that he posts on here is another.

2. Bob Loblaw criticizing BG regularly is another good thing. We don't want FCB posts to look like the ridiculously-screened posts on "The Knight's Lance." It's great to have a system of checks and balances. Bob Loblaw, among many others, provides this.

3. I sincerely think the potential "debate" could be excellent. Bob Loblaw, please reconsider. I've never bought a Leaf product (unless the 1990s counts), but those who have, and who have critiques/questions about the company could send you their questions/complaints, and you could serve as the voice of the people.

4. cgilmo, I hope you see this thread for the compliment that it is: the owner of a card company choosing YOUR site as the place for a potentially awesome debate. I can think of no better place for something like this to happen, and I mean this in the nicest possible way.

I hope you all have an excellent weekend!
Big +1 from top to bottom

Jeff,
You are being an jerk. I don't know what else to say.
I am done arguing with you on these or any other forums you search for support on.

If you want to be part of a public discussion (not on boards), I would love that.

Otherwise, quit being a jerk and move on,

As you lawyers object in trial, "asked and answered".. 10 times already,...

I hope you're drunk.

You've called out Brian, Leaf and taken every lame jab possible for months. A child yammering and blathering at every forced chance.

Petty and passive aggressive, often taking the victim (carrying the flag for any plausible or inpplausible issue) or hero (the constant self patting of the back for the 'bonus' autographs cards) role...but always in some weird, sick fashion.

Like a jealous want to be lover scorned.

You've become a caricature, a whining braggart so caught up in a crazed fight...for nothing other than to fight.

A joke.

And yes, I'm still a nobody...like you.

It's a fact that there was a Razor forum. Those who were in the inside know what it was used for. I did not personally have access, nor did I want access. I did not know what it was used for.

Furthermore, they were a paid advertiser, so they had their banner and a hyperlink and any other privileges that were unknown.

I am well aware of the fact that one could bad mouth Topps, UD, or Donruss back in 2008 with impunity, but Razor criticism was frowned upon.

I remember there being an area for Razor discussion that was invite only. I also was privy first-hand to what you say at the end. It *** a very pro-Razor board at the time, FWIW.

People were certainly excited about a new competitor entering the market AND they were excited to be able to talk to the guy doing it. I don't think the response would be any different had any other company done the same.

That said, baseless accusations about people being paid off to pimp the product, nah.

I said nothing about laying off. If I recall, you paid your legal team thousands of dollars to come to the exact same conclusion that I came to, and provided to you, for free - that your initial grab bag product was just that. Therefore, under both my advice and the advice of counsel, you agreed to create a limited edition, collectible set. I offered for you to retain me, but truth be told, I didn't care either way.

I did the same thing with Gilmo when he had initial legal issues with this site. He sent me a thank you gift for my time and advice, which was unnecessary. I had no intention of being his legal counsel, just like I didn't with you. However, I offered you both a legal mind and a collecting mind with almost 30 years of experience. IF you're trying to color me as a "scorned associate", you couldn't be further from the truth.

I have always spoken my mind, and I continue to do so, when I see something wrong, or something that doesn't make sense. This latest purplegate doesn't make sense.
