Thanks for the comments guys.

I wanted to share an awesome gift from an awesome auto collector on other forums:

He had this signed for me, a surprise, at a recent promo event for Big Hurt Beer.

It's an amazing piece of memorabilia!

Yea I would like to have one. But my wife would be like "Where are you gonna put that thing!?" ::facepalm::

Right in the living room of course. Next to the Shuffle Board game and across from the bar so you can see the big screen while you play your Big Hurt pinball game.

I had an opportunity to pick up a well used, but working copy for $500 when the CiCi's Pizza in my home town went under. I was just a kid, but I wish I'd have figured out a way to make it happen.

I was wondering if the Thomas gurus in this thread could give me an idea of the value of the card below. I picked it up in a lot and only had active Buy It Now/Best Offer prices to look at with no closed auction history. Any help would be very much appreciated.

Doh, me too. I was really thinking hard about giving myself (another) Christmas present with the one on ebay this weekend. But a plumbing emergency had me rethinking any big buys. I bet they will be gorgeous.

Some time after the Metrodome collapsed, I contacted the HHH front office and they sent me some free 5x5 cut tiles of the Teflon coated fiberglass roof that had been scrapped. Special obviously because Frank hit home runs numbers 1 and 500 under this very piece of Teflon.

With Frank doing free signings around Chicago to promote Big Hurt Beer, I was fortunate enough to find a collector willing to have a piece of the roof signed for me. Frank has been very accommodating to the fans, signing multiple items, even every can of entire cases of beer when requested, including inscriptions. My hope was that Frank would notate his 2 achievements on the tile for me.

When presented the tile, Frank had no clue what it was, but when it was explained and my inscription request was made, he laughed and apparently seemed genuinely excited about the piece. Here's the outcome...amazing for an absolutely free signing!

Anyone here have a 2011 Museum Collection auto /10 redemption of Frank for sale?

Because of the redemption (and having been burned on so many redemptions in the past), a lot of serious Thomas collectors haven't jump on the redemption listings...not because of the price, but because of a history of unfulfilled losses. Once (and if) they go live, you'll see a lot more Thomas guys looking too.

This is a great thread. I am a Thomas Collector as well. My focus has turned to Super Collecting the pre-1997 cards. I may part with the later part of my PC to acquire the earlier needs. I do own some 1/1 as well as many GREAT cards of him. Almost 3500 now and another 1000 dupes I'd say. I have a need list for pre-1997 so if anyone wants to see the list and thinks they can help please PM. I am happy to swap dupes with anyone and as I said may break the post 1996 stuff for the pre 1997 stuff if I need to.
