I had a chance to speak with another collector who is also doing the Gem Mint Pre-Rookie/Rookie challenge --- and he's very envious.

Really nice Bull - really nice. <nod> :)

P.S. I'm on the cusp of finishing one of my challenges - will post when all is settled in a week or so. It may not be particularly dramatic, but it's one that I nearly completed three times in the past - only to fall short each time. So I'm very pleased to be nearing the finish line.

Thank you guys, it's quite a major checkmark off of the checklist. My CMC PSA 10 is actually a big deal to me as well. I have large quantities of that card...none are 50/50.

In as much as I'm really not a game used guy, the Clearly Authentics and the TOTT are some cards I need to add to my purchase list.

I think, as a Thomas collector, I need to have at least one jumbo patch in my collection.

Awesome collection of those cards, but I think I own less than 10 patch cards, with none of this variety. 98% of my Thomas money goes to pre-1997.

Same here. Though I go 1998 and back because I was a Donruss collector as a kid and their demise marked the time when I had less interest in ripping packs.

Those are awesome cards, but I, like a bunch of the other guys, am primarily an early Thomas collector. There is just too much high dollar stuff in the middle to late 2000's for me to collect. I am looking at completing as many of the 1990's years as possible, but have been looking as high as 2003 (minus the 1 of 1's of course). The only 2004 EX cards I have are:

2004 E-X Essential Credentials Future Frank Thomas/57
2004 E-X Essential Credentials Now Frank Thomas/9

My thanks to the member's of this thread for catching this:

And how watermarking can come in handy.

BTW - in all seriousness - how difficult is it to take a picture of something you have in hand? Scanning I can see since it's a pain and not everyone has one - but almost every cellphone and computer comes with a camera.

Wow, that is crazy.....I looked at this and completely missed the watermark until I saw your post. How could someone be stupid enough to post a pic with a clear imprint of your website? Looks as if no-one seems too upset or concerned, as the bidding was already over $200 within a couple hours of it being posted. I wonder how many other active big $$ Thomas collectors out there that are not on this thread?

They probably think the seller watermarked it themselves. You can try to avoid hot-linking, but sometimes they just take the image from your site on their desktop and then upload it themselves.

So, they don't have a scan of the card but stealing one is ok? Oh, and is it me, or is that card more purple than red anyway?
