Save your grading money, those are 2 copies of the most common version of the Jordan counterfeit on the market. Wrong blue and red along the borders, yellow flag next to "Premier" should be orange, etc. They're definitely counterfeit.

No one is hating on the guy's find, it has nothing to do with jealousy. It's the fact that he had to bargain when he's already paying MAYBE 1% of market value at whatever her original price was.

He's a first ballot member of the Cheap Ass Hall of Fame.
The problem is that until graded its no STEAL if they are reprints. (i too hope they are real) but if they are rp's then there is no need to bash his haggling.
The post above me seems to be 100% sure they are not real, they are so centered and Sharp. I don't think he is being cheap for not wanting to pay like $300 or more for 2 counterfits.

I'm not sure why people are upset that he tried to get a better deal when doing that could've have screwed him in the end if the son said that he wouldn't sell the stuff. It was also a garage sale. People haggle over anything and everything. My wife is doing one next month with her parents and keeps asking me what we should sell something for. I tell her I don't care because it is either selling that day or going to Goodwill/garbage.

He took a risk by haggling over the price and it worked out. I would've personally put very little value on them when I was purchasing everything because it would seem too good to be true.

It has everything to do with jealousy.

It's subconscious, but it's jealousy.

People are mad they didn't find two Jordan RC's that they could flip for $400

People hate the Yankees because they're subconsciously jealous that their team doesn't spend money to contend.

People trash Superfractor pickups (Harper for $12.5k) and say "you overpaid" and "I'd never spend that much" because they're pissed they don't own it and even angrier they could never afford it

When someone pulls a $350 orange refractor auto, collectors' initial responses are "too bad it's off centered" or "sucks it doesn't look like a 9.5"

I could give a million more examples. Any time anything good happens, people always try to find a negative aspect to nitpick on. It's pathetic

Well put. Thanks for explaining this difficult concept to the mob...not too many seem to understand the situation like you do.

Sports card collectors are some of the most jealous, vindictive, angry, hypocritical, insecure, holier-than-thou losers on the planet. Jesus Christ.

I hope they're real, man

Great find, I would have done the same thing. Get those babies for the lowest price possible. I always negotiate on everything I buy at estate and rummage sales. They have them out there for a reason and all they want to do is move them. Nothing wrong with throwing a price out to see if they bite.

No doubt! 8-)

Lot of haters though, can't say I am surprised. I see nothing wrong, I hope they turn out legit and he makes a solid profit. That is not his fault no one did their research selling those cards...he offered a price and it was accepted. No guarantees about authenticity, so it was worth the $30 risk IMO. I wouldn't pay any more than that if they are not in PSA slabs.

What a funny thread, people hating on what are more then likely 2 reprints. How about we just say congrats on the SLU pick-ups for $30 and move on with our day.

Just added a thanks for ya.

Not everyone has our thought capacity! ;)

Actually, there are a lot of ******** artists just like you 2. Saint Russ, you just happen to be one of the biggest. I love how you are so concerned about how much he paid. What a **** stain you are. Have some nuts and answer my previous question Russ. If they were Ripken rookies for $30 would you have passed them by? Or would the great Russ offered the poor Grandma the going price? Show everyone how full of **** you are.

Okay, so did you post this on the basketball boards? I have no idea how many "legitamate" Jordon reprints are out there, but I would guess they would have some copywright, insignia, date or something on the back to designate them as reprints. That leaes the "illegitamate" ones. Surely the baskeball nerds would know more than us baseball nerds.

And I'm with you on the haggling part. My wife haggles at garage sales all the time. Plus if you buy other stuff, a seller will often cut you a price on something because they just want to get rid of it.

I apparantly dont have your thought capacity either. There is no garauntee that these are real. They arent graded and there are a ton of fakes. The buyer takes a risk buying them and he also has to send them in and pay for them to get graded. If they come back fake than he is losing money. The person selling them agreed to the price he offered. If they were that important to the seller he wouldnt be selling them and he wouldnt have accepted the offer. Its a little thing called free will. The buyer had every right to offer a price and the seller had every right to accept or decline.

We are wasting out time with this guy. He is a jealous clown who is now at ease because they are most likely fake. He will sleep well tonight.
