I went back and forth on that one since i am going to go for the set...figured i shouldnt get the first one on the market, see what they settle at. But thats a nice card, i like the on-card auto and the fact that there's an insc. As i said earlier in the thread, it could have been better than 20 years, but its something extra than just the signature so no complaints.

I agree with the inscription being a bit of a letdown, and the fact that there's more than one version in my mind is kinda lame. But my thought's ran along with yours that anything extra with the sig is nice. I'm trying to complete the 09 sweetspot issues if you happen to know anyone looking to trade or sell. I have the

quick questions for the griffey collectors...

Pulled this card from a retail box at the local wally world a while back. I've been doing some research on what it is sp'ed to and come up with nothing. Anyone have any idea on the print run?

I've also seen both black and blue auto-ed versions of this card, any ideas on the difference in print run between the two?

With so many of the purples being sold recently, I'm quite surprised that this one ended early....strange

You gotta love all the new Ultimate autos that Griffey has, and how they're all low numbered. Doesn't really mean much though considering he's got 20 or 30 different auto'd cards in the set. I think it's funny, I'm still waiting on an auto redemption from 2008.

I hereby make the following New Years Resolution (its still Jan)
I will NEVER bid on, accept for free, buy off ebay, or make an offer on any dumba.. card of Ken Griffey Jr. with some dumb blue jacket or some ultimate emblem or whatever it is on his hat. I won't buy a card with him sitting or standing in a sweater or golfing or whatever else Upper Deck can do to compete in a market where they are the new SPORTSKINGS OF BASEBALL.
They now have made every baseball card into a Sportsking Rose Card.

I hope all the players, especially every 10 minute signer Ken Griffey Jr, has plenty of these Generic Hats and warm up jackets to cover any sign that he is a REAL baseball player, in the MAJOR LEAGUES playing for a REAL TEAM- NOT TEAM ULTIMATE.

All of you guys will have a Brinn free ride to wining all the auto Griffeys you can buy.

I don't understand how you guys who have cherished your cards since 1989, can even look at that Generic piece of crap. Once again UD proves, that from the grave (it is dying), it can still destroy card collecting. It will probably double the already trillion Griffey autos out there now with these generic releases.

THIS IS JUST MY OPINION (TO QUOTE DENNIS MILLER) AND I LOVE ALL OF YOU DEARLY AND WE CAN DISAGREE IN PEACE AND HARMONY. I JUST HATE THESE CARDS. ( I AM VERY UPSET THERE IS NO SMILIE FACE FOR PUKING - OK ITS NOT MEDICAL, DOCTORS OUGHT TO SAY VOMITTING, EMESIS, REGURGITATION..............)
