The ones all over Ebay? I don't see anything wrong with them as far as generic goes.

I see a huge problem. 1st, I'm still waiting on an autoraphed card of his from 2008. 2nd, like Roy said, UD just put out hundreds, if not thousands of new autographs. The market is over saturated and prices are dropping like pants at a ***** house.

As far a in a sweater or golfing I don't see any of those I guess was what I am saying?
I thought he was talking generic as in no logos.

I don't think there are any logos on the new cards, are there?

I personally don't mind that it doesn't say the team name on any of the cards. the logo and jerseys are still there which is more than enough for me. All you high dollar griffey collectors can leave these "crap" ones to me.. i don't mind. :D

That's what I say, he better have a large collection of warm up jackets, long sleeve jerseys, sweaters etc. Now they even have his poor Dad wearing the same overshirt/ jacket whatever. Funny how we never saw the "overshirt auto" collection before. If its so natural, how many of the 20,000 griffey cards released show him in a generic warm up jacket? I don't see any S on his hat. And now his dad will have to wear the same "clown outfit" for all his joint pics with Junior.

HOW DO YOU SHOW JUNIOR HITTING AT THE PLATE WITH AN OVERSHIRT? HOW DOES HE DIVE AFTER A BALL WITH AN OVERSHIRT? Poor guy will be always standing around like some model. Forget the action shots- thing of the past

Bring on the autos and lots of them- lets add about 100,000 to the group.

Also I never have said and do not pretend to talk for anyone else- high end collectors or whoever (by the way my insert collection is growing and I'm selling some high end stuff). I only talk for me- myself. I'm sure other high end collectors have their own opinions and they may differ alot from what I think.

PS I SAY ALL THIS WITH LOVE FOR MY FELLOW FORUM MEMBERS- I'M REALLY JUST STATING MY FEELINGS ABOUT ALL THIS AND I DO IT WITH PASSION AND LOVE

I wasn't trying to attack anyone. And I'm very envious of yours and several other members collections. I've never been a huge insert collector. I do pick up a few here and there but auto's and patches are my main theme in my collection. I don't like they used the "warm up" shots (and the use of 1 photo for 50 cards) But the hat is the "warm up" hat. I picked one up when i went to the game.. they're great hats, comfy, stretchy, and perfect for a silver sharpie auto.

Are all the players going to "warm up" until UD dies? Do they ever get to play? Like in a game? Like weariing a uniform?
I assume at some point they will be all "warmed up" and ready to play ball?

Yeah thats not a "Team Ultimate" hat its a Mariners hat probably from Spring training or maybe a BP hat(if they use a different hat for batting practice).

BOSTON — The talk of the town in Seattle is a 19-year-old wunderkind named Ken Griffey Jr., who in less than two months in the big leagues has inspired a Seattle area candy company to name a chocolate bar after him.

The Mariners played an exhibition game against the triple-A Calgary Cannons last week in Calgary and the local media turned out in force to do Ken Griffey Jr. stories, but the wunderkind was curt with the writers and wouldn't do interviews with TV reporters.

The next day, a Calgary Sun columnist got his revenge. In an article headlined, "Young Griffey brat with bat," Griffey was described as a "petulant, spoiled 19-year-old who had to be begged and cajoled into conducting one brief mass interview . . . an interview in which he had nothing noteworthy to say."

The Mariners were livid with Griffey's behavior in Calgary, and told him so, yet they also recognize they are dealing with a teen-ager, a kid who would be in only his second year of college or banging at the back door of the job market were it not for baseball.

I was at that game. I was 7. I got 2 Junior auto's that day, 1 on an NL ball (that has yellowed) and 1 in my Panini sticker book. Edgar Martinez was still with the Cannons, and I got my picture in the paper the next day with him signing my baseball (I'm going to get a print of that ordered).

Card looks fake to me. The diamond should not be that big, and the background should not have the lines... I think someone took the regular card (more shiny, and w/lines in the background) and glued something to make it look like a diamond

Here is a picture of my chipper for comparisson

Yep...someone put that "diamond" in that card. The cards w/ the real diamonds don't have that refractor-ish finish.

How rare are the 1993 O-Pee-Chee Premiere Foil Star Performers? I won one in a lot of Griffey Jr.'s and I can't find any other sales of them, or any for sale for that matter.
