I should add that I worked for the grocery store back in 1993 and they had the Griffey jersey in a storeroom.
They had this jersey, a couple of Aikman and Emmitt Smith auto'd helmets, a Shaq Orlando Magic jersey and Frank Thomas auto'd cleats up in the storeroom all together.
I ended up picking up the Griffey jersey pretty cheap, $150.00 if I remember right.
That was about the time I started collecting cards and memorabilia and didn't know a hell of a lot at the time.
Live and learn.
I do wish I would have picked up the Thomas Cleats though, as the signatures looked pretty good if memory serves me right.

This was the last and only Red Crusade I remember being on Ebay. If memory serves me right it was over or real close to 3 grand? I screen saved the auction but can't find it. One thing I remember the seller was from Puerto Rico and I asked for the scan of the back and he obliged through email..

gettin closer...............Hey Griffey experts I have a question for you.
I received a Mariners jersey back in the early 90's.
Any opinions on this auto?
Any chance it could it be an early Griffey sig?
I'm guessing not, but I'm no expert.
It came with a COA from a grocery chain that used to have card/memorabilia shops in them.
Any opinions would be welcomed, good or bad.

3 things scare me with your auto..
1. The "K and the combination of the "en" just doesn't look right to me.
2. I have never seen a period after "jr" ? Doesn't mean he never did it but it just seems so out of place?
Sort of like him writing his number? It just doesn't look right as I have never seen him do it. Of course there
are some 2000 Upper Decks where he did it but that's really the only place I have seen it and its far and few between.
3. Him dotting his "i" also scares me..

Parts of that Griffey signature look consistant,other parts are throwing me off though.lol..Keep it purdy just in case!

Can anyone help me find a 2009 Ballpark Collection Eight Swatch card?Its numbered to 75,Has Griffey,Ozzie Smith,Ripken Jr,Reggie Jackson,Johan Santana,Evan Longoria,Teixeria,and Josh Beckett?It's a big want for the pc considering Griffey,and Longo are featured.
One is one Ebay,but with the serial number 1 crap,guy is asking a pretty high amount for a nominal card,and he wont budge.

Hey guys...picked up my 93-94-95th ON-CARD auto, my 97th AUTO'D CARD, and my 98th Griffey auto (i have a signed jersey). As you all know I only do on card autographs, but the two that are not are the exquisite collection cards (considering moving them soon if something pops up i really like). I do have one more incoming for my 96th on card auto. Exciting, almost to 100!!
I have 11 of the 18 cards from that subset....likely the remaining on card autos to 100 will come from that set.

congrats! Love the look of those 09 Ultimate autos, just a great set. Funny to think that when people were ripping this stuff open, it was a huge let down to hit an auto
