looks like ya been busy on your pick ups, since Nov 2010 I've only picked up 2 or 3 things

I just really started focusing on Griffey the last 1-2 years or so. I'm up to about 2000 or so so far. I mostly like Mariners stuff, 90's inserts, and newer (Reds)stuff that my eyes like. With my severely limited budget ( had 2 kids in the last 16 months) I've been going for quantity mostly, and staying away from autos and GUed stuff. Thinking about changing that and trying for 1 or 2 of the more "rare" inserts a month and see how that works for me.

Took the Mrs. shopping yesterday for Mother's Day and there happened to be a card "show" going on at the mall we went to. Slim pickings for Griffey's. Nothing great here but they were only 25 cents a card.

Okay Magic, you seem to be an expert on all things Griffey and Pinnacle so I have another question for you if you can answer it. I traded someone for this Pinnacle Skylines card a while back. Beckett says these were obtained from "magazine packs". My question is, What exactly is a "magazine pack"? Thanks.

I believe they were jumbo packs you'd find at a big box retailer like walmart or target. They would have had a hole in the top to hang on a rack.

Gypsy Queen Sepia is set to arrive today..Finally got one at a reasonable price!

I think its time to start breaking this collection up. Lets start with the 1998 Mirror Golds and the 1998 Crusade Red. PM me when you're ready.

Just in case some of you other guys are reading I need two Griffey Jr. 1998 Donruss Red Crusades and can pay 2k plus depending on condition so if they are nicer than average let me know your price.

I would also consider purchasing any rare /30 or less produced Griffey Jr. cards you have available.
