Magic, do you know what the print run on the Premier Club and Platinum Team cards are?

if heard appx 60 on the Premier Club, heres a little info to help
Premier Club 1:31
Platinum Team 1:5
32 packs per box, five cards per pack (MSRP: $1.30). 20 boxes per case. 100 cases per team. 11 Teams (?)
Each of the 150 different Regional Team cards are available in the following parallels.

 • Platinum Team
 • Premier Team
Based on calculations, there are roughly 137 Premier cards and 711 Platinum cards per player.

Thanks for the info Magic. Looks like that was good $7.49 investment, even though I didn't get the card I was looking for. Oh well, the search continues

Here's a few odds I picked up

Here's a Griffey I grabbed recently:

Seems tougher to find these cards then the print run indicates.

@HawkeyeFan
you paid $7.49 for a Premier Club?? :o
Bought in a lot with 8 other cards. Lot was originally 11 or 12 bucks. I had it in my watch list for months before I submitted a best offer and that's what he came back with so I accepted it. Obviously he didn't know what it was either. Goofy thing is that I was also trying to make an offer on an oddball single he had listed for dang near the same price and he wouldn't budge. Still not as good of a deal as what I got on my Cooperstown Dufex.

Can anyone confirm this article? magicpapa I know you have the entire set.

"Epix (1:21 packs): Epix was a big cross-brand, multifractured insert set produced by Pinnacle in 1998. These were randomly inserted into packs of Pinnacle, Score, and Zenith. There were 24 players in this set and each had 12 different Epix cards to chase after! There are 4 tiers in this set. They are (in no particular order): Play, Game, Season, and Moment. Each of these tiers is also available in 3 different colors: Orange (common), Purple (rare), Emerald (very rare). There are no stated odds on any specific tier/color combinations with the exception of the Emerald Moments, which have a print run of just 30."

Do we have a beckett or quote for the moments print run actually being 30?

Beckett says less than 30.

Beckett says less than 30.

That's true. There were no Ken Griffey Jr. cards in the regular MOMENT issue though. Those MOMENT cards are not to be confused with the All-Star Epix MOMENTS, which are really not that rare. So, Griffey didn't have any of the emerald cards in the stated print run of less than 30. I don't have my Beckett around, but I'm 99% sure that the SEASON cards are the rarest of the Griffeys, since he wasn't included in the regular MOMENTS set.

So, people constantly incorrectly list these on ebay thinking they have the ultra rare emerald moment Griffey, when in fact, it doesn't exist. I would think the print run on the season emerald is relatively low though (I would guess around 500-1000 or so made?).

Here is a good example I just found by browsing the ebay listings. The extremely rare emerald MOMENT Mark McGwire is on the left (stated print run less than 30) with the not-so-rare version on the right (All-Star Epix Moment). As I said above, unfortunately Griffey is not in the rare MOMENT set.

Ah thank you, I see. The difference is also where the name is placed on the front of the card (see magicpapas pic) it says "ALL STAR" Instead of "Ken Griffey Jr. for the Moment card.

So to sum up, beckett claims that 1998 Epix Moment (not ALL STAR plus) are /30 but Griffey Jr was not included in the regular and only the All Star which is like 1:288 packs?

I think it's safe to assume this may be the most confusing insert set of all time.

Cards marked with a "C" were scheduled for insertion into packs of 1998 Pinnacle Certified, but were never released.

It's pretty confusing, mainly because of the all-star epix throwing everybody off. However, for me at least, the most confusing was the 1997 Leaf Fractal Matrix cards. It was bamboozling at the time, and still is for that matter, how the gold die-cut had a higher print run than the gold non die-cut. It seems like being die-cut would be more rare right, as well as gold being more rare than bronze. Some were, but it all came down to the X, Y, and Z axis, rather than bronze, silver, and gold, and the overall print run had just as many die-cuts and non die-cuts. Now that is a very confusing set. I remember looking at Beckett back in 1997 when I was a teenager, trying to figure that one out, and it made absolutely no sense to me.
