[h=3]I still to this day cannot correctly remember it off the top of my head, so I just went and looked it up and pasted it below. Pretty confusing indeed. I'm not quite sure what their thought process was when they made this one because at the time, there wasn't a way to really share info like we do today.

Fractal Matrix[/h] Randomly inserted in packs, this 400-card set parallels the Leaf base set and features color player photos with either a bronze, silver or gold finish. No card is available in more than one color. The set is broken into nine tiers based on three colors (Bronze, Gold and Silver) and three axes (X, Y and Z). The non-die-cut cards do NOT designate which axis the card belongs to.
In each series, 100 cards were designated Bronze, 60 Silver, and 40 Gold; 125 were X-Axis, 50 Y-Axis, and 25 Z-Axis.
2000 copies of each Bronze, 1000 of each Silver, and 500 of each Gold card were produced. For the die-cuts, the first 400 copies (regardless of color) of each X-Axis card are die-cut, 200 Y-Axis, and 100 Z-Axis.
This chart shows exactly how many of each card were produced.

It's also a shame that 1998 Certified and 1998 Select were never released. Those were some beautiful cards and would have likely been one of my favorite sets.

It is a shame. A lot of those cards look sick! Would've went over well with collectors...

Here's a step in the right direction:

Thanks for that info on the Epix cards magicpapa. I never knew that, and always wondered why Gwynn didn't have a Play card...So judging by the list, then, the Emeralds should be all the same print run, then??? (not inclusing All-Star)

@magicpapa how much did you pass this one up for a few years back? I remember you posting about it a few pages back, and what ?/10

I've always considered this one of the holy grail Griffey cards and personally have never seen one surface. Thank all logical sanity that I didn't sell mine 5 years ago (almost did) plus several other cards on top of the $.

I love Legacy cards. Never did manage to get the others from the years.

Alright so picked this up, and it's legit. Would love to find a 97 Row 0, seems the well has dried up though.
