out of all the true legendary hitters, I would say him and Ruth are the only two that didnt bust their balls crazy like it.
interesting to point out that- Ruths team had Gehrig, who worked out like crazy, had an awesome muscular back and played till he literally couldnt move anymore
Griffeys team had Edgar Martinez, who had bad injuries, a small unimpressive frame and a lazy eye(I forget the scientific term) yet through hard work became a great hitter.
its been fun following Griffeys career, but its always hard to watch someone who could be doing more (at some point, right now due to the injuries it may be too late but at some point he could have done more). now his metabolism is slowing down and hes going to have to rely on more than talent to keep doing what he loves.
