Early Years to 1950 Top 5 in order
1. Babe Ruth
2. Ty Cobb
3. Ted Williams
4. Lou Gehrig
5. Jimmie Foxx
1951-Present I will try in order lol.
1. Hank Aaron
2. Pete Rose
3. Ken Griffey Jr.
4. Willie Mays
5. Cal Ripken Jr.
Kinda my thoughts as I read that. I would have put Ichiro in there before Ripken.markakis8 said:I'm one of the bigger Cal Ripken fans you'll ever meet...no way does he even come close to top 5 hitters of all-time, even after 1951.

scotty21690 said:Hahahah oh man people actually think he was one of the TOP FIVE greatest hitters of all time?
He had a career BA barely over .300 for christ sakes! He is a poor mans version of Ichiro. Cobb should be the all time hit king, noone can touch his career BA ever!
My list: Ruth, Williams, Cobb, Gehrig, Hornsby.
Yeah cool, being a compiler does NOT make you a top 5 hitter OF ALL TIME.KOBEARODLT said:scotty21690 said:Hahahah oh man people actually think he was one of the TOP FIVE greatest hitters of all time?

Did you ever watch him hit? and his last few years brought his average down.
