How to ship a $500-$1k card over seas?

If listed on eBay and assuming that it would sell to an over seas (Asia) country, how would you ship it fully covering yourself?

Not an expert, but I'm assuming UPS or FedEx...

I shipped a $1600 card via USPS using registered.. It cost me about $15

When you send it registered, you tell them the value, and then each person along the route is responsible..

I've done this a few times with high end cards..
