Congrats Joe! Now not to dump on an awesome day for you, but isn't the whole point of the pink bats supposed to be that they are auctioned off for charity? Side not: I was at the Brewers/Cubs game yesterday and NO Brewers used a pink bat and only 2 Cubs

The Reds are in Atlanta, which is BP's hometown. He didn't call yesterday, but I am hoping to hear from him today. I'll let everyone know how the conversation goes after I talk to him.

I just talked to Brandon on the phone a few minutes ago. What a great guy. He's hilarious, nice, and incredibly humble.

He said he will definitely sign the bat for me, which is awesome. He also gave me the option of having him mail me the bat, or meeting him in person to get the bat. One of the easiest questions I have ever had to answer. :lol:

We're going to a Tigers-Reds game on June 8th, so if nothing else, he said we'll get together then. He said that he and some of the other players are going to come up to Indianapolis for a Heat-Pacers game if the series goes long enough. He said if he makes it to Indy, he'll give me a call so we can get together then. I will keep my fingers crossed that the series goes to a Game 6. :lol:

I could go on and on. We talked about 15 minutes. It was really a pleasure.

Absolutely Phenomenal! It's so great that BP does things like this. Can you imagine being an all-star and a gold-glove winner and still being so humble and giving.
Now if he could just add World Series Champion to that list, all would be right with the world. ;-)
