We were in Georgia one day and at the time there was a lot of controversy about the state flag having the confederate flag on it. So we walk out of the hotel and there is this walkway with a row of the flags. So I said to him, doesnt that bother you? and he said something like "It only bothers me if I let it bother me, and besides, that flag and those people arent going to hold me back or stop me from getting to where Im going." He likes to goof around but he also has a very serious and driven side.

As someone who had a moment like this involving a MLB player, it really is something you never forget. It's even more fun when you can involve your son and give him that experience.

I'm missing the humor. I was able to take a great experience with an MLB player and share it with my son, we had the experience together.....
