We were in Georgia one day and at the time there was a lot of controversy about the state flag having the confederate flag on it. So we walk out of the hotel and there is this walkway with a row of the flags. So I said to him, doesnt that bother you? and he said something like "It only bothers me if I let it bother me, and besides, that flag and those people arent going to hold me back or stop me from getting to where Im going." He likes to goof around but he also has a very serious and driven side.

elmalo- Great story. Brandon definitely seems driven. You can tell that he always wants to improve and get better, but he's also incredibly humble.

Jeff- That's great! I'm glad you and your son were able to have a similar moment. We're unable to have children, but it was amazing being able to share it with my wife. Cliche or not, she is my best friend.

I'm missing the humor. I was able to take a great experience with an MLB player and share it with my son, we had the experience together.....
