Dave (w)- Thanks a million. Brandon made sure to give us both a wonderful lifelong memory. He was truly amazing. The thing that stuck out the most to me, was even when a crowd started to form, it was like Crystal and I were the only 2 people on earth. His attention and focus never shifted from us. Just unbelievable.

Ralph- Thanks brother! I have no idea how this hot streak got started, but I am on a roll.

One of the best stories I have read on FCB!

I knew BP was a friendly guy to his fans, but this is one of the coolest stories I have seen. Must have been quite the experience for you and your wife. To be honest, it's refreshing to read stuff like this, because it makes me proud to be a baseball fan when I see guys like BP going out of their way to make someone's day.

That bat is absolutely sick sick sick sick sick. That thing would be the centerpiece of my collection, and I'm a Tigers fan haha. I especially like the top of the bat, what he wrote on there-but that is just me.

Anyway, thanks for sharing!

Oh, and by the way-you have motivated me to add one of these mothers day bats to my collection. I've always kind of wanted to, but just never gave it much thought.

An awesome experience for sure. I'm sure you'll remember it forever. BTW, is that a purple Audi R8 behind you?

Brandon is one of the nicest, most humble dudes I know. His whole family is that way. His pops is a great guy and his mom is a sweet lady. I havent seen his brother since he was a little kid but he was a good kid. He is allso one of the funniest guys Ive ever met. He just enjoys life and aint nothin wrong with that.

Congrats Joe, I don't comment to much on the boards except when something really moves me. Your story does. I didn't know to much about Brandon Phillips until your story, now I know the kind of character this man has. I hope he gets all the acallades and rewards possiable. I also hope he makes the Hall of Fame so you can tell the story of your bat over and over again. ;) I am now a Brandon Phillips fan from the west coast. I hope he has a long and illustrious career. Thanks for sharing.

koal- I watched that. He was so funny. BP and Millar had me rolling.

Scotty- That's what we said! After those Little Debbies, he's had back-to-back solid games.

E- Thank you much, brother!

nosterbor- Thank you. It really was. I wish everyone could have an experience like that.

hail2thevictors- Thank you very much. It was truly one of the best experiences we've ever had. We're still glowing about it 2 days later! I've always wanted one of the pink bats as well. That's another part of it that makes it that much sweeter as well. Neither of us can say enough good things about BP. Best of luck on landing one for your collection! Make sure to share lots of pics. They are awesome!

rookieaddict- Thank you. Yes, Brandon drives an Audi R8. The color changes depending on how the light hits it. It will look purple, blue, or a combination of the 2. Awesome car.

Pete- Thanks brother!

elmalo- I couldn't agree more. He is just truly a great person.

Jock176- Thank you! Glad I was able to coax a post out of you. I could go on and on about how awesome Brandon is. You could tell that he really wanted to make it a memorable experience for us. That speaks volumes about the person he is. Glad he's got another fan. Whether he makes the HOF or not, I'll continue re-telling this story until death.

PadresFan86- Thanks!

This is an awesome story. Even with the whole Reds/Cards rivalry i always thought BP was a standup guy.

Seems like one of the rare ballplayers that dont take themselves all too seriously.

Congrats on an amazing piece.
