UMPIRE FAIL!

It shows how far he was, but from that angle, you cant see where the ball is. We know its in his glove and it DOES show how far from safe the runner was.

Actually-after looking at this live for the first time(I was in class all night and just heard from my buddy what happened)-Galarraga had the ball in his glove before touching the bag. So yes, you can't see where the ball is-because it's already in his glove. He caught the ball then tagged first.

This is as bad as it gets. Just a horrendous call.

How in the frack could he miss that call on the LAST OUT of the game!!???He should never fracking umpire a MLB game again.He just fracked that kid out of history on the baseball diamond.Jim Leyland or Miguel Cabrera or SOMEONE should have beat the shat out of this guy on the field after the game.Tim Kurkjian just said on ESPN that he doesn't think that MLB will even fine him for it. this is a VERY good point. If I was one of the other three umpires, I would've at least had a meeting about it on the field.

why couldnt another ump chime in on this? it happens all the time when they are not sure and they ask of of the other umps to see if they had a better view.

with a call llike this, you would think they would at least have done that to avoid this exact moment from happening
