give me a break. what loser needs $31 after an auction ends? I misread the auction and paid him as soon as he emailed me. this card/ebay this is really getting on my nerves and I am ready to sell all my cards.

maybe its just me but those auction rules were not clear at all.
"24 HOURS TO MAKE PAYMENT AFTHER AUCTION END". Seems pretty clear.

I'll give you that. It's about as sloppy english/grammar as you get. I guess I've just trained myself to read the descriptions very carefully to avoid situations like this.

10 bucks that english is not the guy/gals first language.

Yes the OP should have read through the whole listing - but I lean toward blaming the seller (and didn't see this pointed out yet) simply because if they needed money, and it was such an issue, than they should have listed the item with immediate payment required.

Seems simple to me - and that way the buyer knows the payment is expected and needed right away and it's not buried amongst all the other nonsense. None of this would have occured had that been the case.

i agree based on logic... but if terms are not understood by the buyer they should clarify or avoid bidding. it goes back to what 2,000,000 people on this very message board have said over and over and over again read the item descriptions!!! unless you are bidding on a lot of bowman chrome draft cards.

jdacunha I believed U can make your payment. Seller can't strike U with NPB until 7 day under Ebay term. Seller can refund U the money but U will be able to leave a fair feedback regarding this transaction. Ebay usually don't erase FB for none profanity/ constrictive criticism.

The OP can't play the "what if" game with ebay and try to pin blame on the seller. It's a ridiculous argument to say the seller should have done this or that. The situation is very simple. The seller did nothing wrong, and having bad english/grammar is not the problem.

Immediate payment required only works on BIN, auctions and best offers will not require immediate payment.

Didn't read all 8 page, so sorry if it's been brought up. I'm not sure eBay can help get you the card or take care of any neg's from this seller, but if you bring it to their attention that he is stating that his/her auctions must be paid for within 24 hours, they will take care of any auctions after that.

In my mind its total BS what the seller expects.I really don't like these pay quick auctions. You can give me a few days because I damn well know you will take a few to ship. But whatever.

I do think I like Eric's idea where buttering up the seller was the best route to go.All you needed to do was explain you really want the card and you are sorry for the hold up and that you just didn't understand the auction the way it was written but you thought you di.Tell them it was your fault and it wouldn't happen again and ask them if you can send payment as you really would like the card.I have a hard time believing that after that, they wouldn't have sent. Some sellers on ebay can be asses but all of them are trying to make money. You can rest assured of that.

On the same topic, I just noticed this in an auction I am bidding on:

Unless notified otherwise and agreed upon, due date for payment to be made is within 2 days of end of auction (2 DAYS, not BUSINESS DAYS). THOSE WHO PAY WITHIN 24 HOURS of auction end will have their items shipped within 1 business day of receiving a cleared payment. Domestic shipping and handling costs can be calculated down below. Shipping insurance is optional. Everything is shipped securely as possible in a well-packaged box and not just thrown in an envelope. Also please understand I am not responsible for the actual transit time of the package, I do make sure to ship 6 days a week, packages usually being shipped within 2 business day of receiving a cleared payment and will always use delivery confirmation

I guess if you don't pay in 24 HRS and DARE TO WAIT 2 WHOLE DAYS then you are penalized and he lets it sit on his table at his house even though he goes to the post office 6 days a week

True that bro. The first time I looked at it i was not sure what the hell the dolt was trying to say. In hindsight it definately would have served as a warning of things to come.

I think the "24 hours to pay" is a BS way for the seller to keep cards that they think sold too low. If the price was low, they will be strict about their BS policy... if not, I'm sure they wouldn't have said a damn word and waited as long as possible for the payment. You can take that to the bank.

Well ebay could be smart about it and just set a guideline that nobody can go outside of.Allow 7 days or however many days for people to pay and leave it at that.No ifs ands or buts on either the sellers part or the buyers.Ebay could allow a seller to allow a buyer to take longer than the allotted time but they could also say that after 10 days...you lose the right or ability to file a non paying bidder strike against someone.

I know I know...it makes too much sense.

My head hurts after reading all this bologna. Pay the guy and tell him sorry or move on. Why make a big fuss over it? If you really wanted the card I have a hard time believing that you didn't read the description.

In other news, Mr Softie is on the DL.<~ For you TBP

Or you could look at it as him giving you incentive to pay sooner.

This is pure BS all around. Sellers have been given the shaft with all the changes made to feedback DSR's etc etc, but to give sellers free reign with payment terms is just ridiculous. I completely understand sellers are sick and tired of waiting a week or two for payment, but 24 hour turnaround? Ebay should just get off there ass and just implement a 3 day payment window with an automatic payment reminder that blocks your account from bidding if payment isnt sent by the end of the 3rd day, with automatic NPB process started if payment isnt made by the 7th day. It isn't rocket science, they completely control the auction and the payment means, so its pretty easy to implement.

JD, I understand your frustration, this exact same thing happened to me about a year ago, and I can guarantee you its because of the low selling price. Chalk it up to experience, now you'll pay closer attention to auction terms, lol. But honestly, screw the terms, they're completely unreasonable.

As for me, I usually pay once a week, Sunday nights. I've only had 1 seller give me a problem like I stated above in my 10 years on Ebay. Told him to go screw himself and his terms. I am still strike free, and still have 100% feedback.

Just like sellers are tired of slow payers, Im tired of slow shippers and anal retentive sellers who have completely unreasonable terms.

Oh and btw, its so blatantly obvious who the Ebay sellers and buyers are in this thread.
