Probably $3500-$4000. The Super went for $4k but that was underpriced.

Helluva pickup

Any guesstimates on what it would fetch in an auction right now?

That Hellickson super $500 > $1300 flip was pretty solid.

The Lincy BC super auto went for like 4500 and the Red Sterling went for a little more from what im told so i would guestimate 2500-3k maybe. Its hard to not just take a great offer and run with the money.

ONly way this makes sense is that it was stolen.

Seriously does not make sense.

But, assuming that's NOT true, congrats.

Otherwise, i'd bet you're gonna hear from someone at some point.

doubt it was stolen. the seller is the vp of a bank and he was the same guy who pulled the gibson bat barrel card a few years ago. but you never know.

I saw that in the completed auctions that afternoon and nearly had a seizure. I figure about $1500.

Thought I would look into it a little...

The Bowman's Best blue /99 goes for about $150-200
The Bowman Chrome xfractor /225 sells for $300ish

So a card that's more than twice as rare goes for about half as much. That would mean that a card AS rare would sell for 4x less.
If the BC super went for $4500 it would be around an $1100 card.

I think that's probably low because it discounts the x-factor of being a 1/1, which usually makes formulas for this kind of thing pointless. It's also tough to use a BC super as a measuring stick because it's a whole different animal. But I'm putting it closer to the $1500 guess in an auction. If you're getting $2.5-3k offers, I think you're crazy to turn them down.

Regardless, amazing steal!

Feedback of (2) - I hope you get the card and someone has not sent the seller a message with a higher offer. Best to keep your steals in confidence until it is in hand.

It's impossible to compare 1/1's between products and base prices off other parallels. 1/1's are a different breed. Will this approach 4k, i dont think so. But I would guess that there are quite a few insane Lincecum collectors that will "need" this card, and therefore it can't really be compared to parallels in this set and then compared to parallels in another set

It's a 2007 UD black 1/1 auto, from his rookie year. Technically an insert from his rookie year. It was only available in the "white packs" in UD black, which were about one every two to three cases, and most white packs yielded printing plate autos.
