I'd get that thing out of my hands as soon as possible and sold. Is nobody else concerned about his loss in velocity? I know scouts say it doesn't matter but it seems to me that a possible injury is coming. Sell now is my advice.

Im not concerned, however i dont think the card will ever be worth less than $100 so i have nothing to lose.

Really?? He could blow his arm out tomorrow....drug suspension....multiple things could derail his career to where he becomes a footnote in history & that $100 would seem about right for value.

meh, i disagree. There are enough hardcore Lincecum collectors that this card will never approach that $100 value imo

There are enough hardcore collectors now when he's the reigning back-to-back Cy Young winner. How many of those "hardcore" guys dump in a minute though if something happens? No one collects Denny McLain....

I'm not saying anything like that is going to happen, but it's got just as much of a chance as him becoming Roger Clemens (who was mentioned in this thread)....speaking of which, how has the value of Clemens done lately?

It wasnt far from meeting my reserve. I had a few people make me off ebay offers which were quite higher than the ending price and i rejected, but those people never bid. ::facepalm::

I know it may look like im being greedy about it but it was only $100 and im not in need of the money so if it doesnt meet what i think i could get for it right now then i have no problem holding it. And after his first two starts, it appears he is bound for another great season.

I agree markakis, i think the reserve didnt help. Oh well.

Pulled my Tiger Woods Goudey auto and had tons of lowball offers. Everybody was like...I know you pulled it in a $5 pack...take the $1500 and run. Sold it for $3500 (12 months ago) and lived off of it when I lost my job 6 months back. Glad I didn't take the pressure from everybody, and sold it to a true collector. When you get the right offer, you will know its time.
