Will Prince accept a shot deal to play in Yankee Stadium?

Doubt it and doubt they will take him

And definitely think Seattle is out of that race now

Montero is going to bust bad in Seattle, awful ballpark and he will quit trying to stay in shape now. Yankees win hands down and Campos might be their best pitching prospect by this time next year, he sounds like another Pineda in the making.

How does the ballpark impact if he's going to be a bust? He's the exact same hitter he was before he got traded. True power hitters are less valuable to teams who play in hitter friendly parks. Also, why would he not stay in shape now? Is Seattle not going to pay him? Was his pride and professionalism incumbent upon being a Yankee? Hell, if nothing else, Seattle probably offers more healthy dining options than NY lol

mwashuc06 has flipped his opinion on Montero so many times I've lost count. He's the same one that once called him the next Jarrod Saltalamacchia.

This news blows, and hopefully it bites the Yanks in the crack. This is all I have left of Montero

Not thrilled about this as a Mariners fan. I like Pineda and Campos has some filthy stuff. Montero has to be a great hitter to be valuable as a DH-only and that will be tough in Safeco. Why not pony up the cash for Fielder and keep Pineda?

I already made bank on Montero. I have no clue why anyone who was prospecting him would still be holding after that huge spike last season. Oh well

Thanks Topps!

why our you sarcastically thanking Topps. They didnt make this trade that made Montero collectors cry an Pineda Collectors jump for joy. Most Montero collectors should of sold most the collection with he was called up an hit his first homerun.

It was a joke from another thread the other day involving a probably "nicer now than a week ago" Pineda 1/1 patch auto.

It was not lost on all. I got it. I hope he is still holding that card. I agree it suddenly looks a lot nicer...

Look this deal was clearly done to give Danny Hultzen the opportunity to be the ACE coming out of Spring Training

Only a prospector would forget about Felix Hernandez.

Not a prospector but he will flame out in a year or two anyways with arm injury and even if he doesnt Hultzen is a superior talent that will knock him off #1

Mark it down he will miss at least 3-4 months with an arm injury by the end of the 2014 season. If he does not I will donate $500 to a Charity of Cgilmo's choice

Well, then you must be a UVA die-hard, because there is no way an objective observer would consider Hultzen the M's ace.

I can't speak for Blanning, but I feel the same way - because Jose Campos doesn't have any cards yet!

He's scheduled to have one in 2012 Bowman, but so much for buying him cheap. Thanks, Topps.

Actually, it ends up being a great move by Topps. Another autograph that can help carry the product.

Campos is scheduled to have a base card, not an autograph.
