wbonus,

yes, i will record them if i see them in the completed auctions.

i think you are giving hupe royalty too much credit if you are inferring that the site gives the definitive value on a card. again, i'll say that if you believe the site is somehow into price fixing, collusion or anything erroneous, please help me fix it or create a better alternative.

i have an offer for you - help me make hupe royalty better. i'll add you to be part of the author group and you can report all the jordan completed auctions that are deemed fake, so collectors who use the site, wont get "screwed" into paying an amount you feel they should not and will have the facts that they should.

there are pay sites such as worthpoint.com and terrapeak.com that offer a more detailed version of what i am doing and record ebay data from them previous 365 days. i believe they record everything about completed auctions - from seller, buyer, bid history and all that. collectors are more than welcome to use that if they don't want to be "duped" into the information i provide on my site. if they choose not to use that instead, well, that is their own mistake for choosing not to be better informed.

as in anything in life - if you are relying on a SINGLE source for information, then you are the one who is limiting yourself and setting yourself up for failure or ignorance. Let me ask this... do you limit yourself to only reading espn.com to obtain sport information? there are other options such as sportingnews.com, cnnsi.com, nba.com, slamonline.com, etc to help you learn more about a sports story.

I know what your're exactly talking about. The people that are focusing on jordan inserts. You know what I want? I have a few jordans. Ill list them and falsely sell them for insane amounts. Then I want huper royalty to record the prices. After that I want to know if thats the new selling price for those jordan inserts? Lol...exactly what these bums are doing.

i don't appreciate be called a bum. i take offense to that.

I dont think a single person has a problem with your site and its information at all. But to reference sales as historical data without knowing the seller or history behind the card is being prematuraly set up for price fixing, collusion and false sales.

Like I said, If i list a few jordan inserts and have them sell at huge prices, will your record them as well?? All i need is a couple of people using your site at reference to get duped into buying a $40 card from me at $700. I know it doesnt have any liability on you when someone else gets duped. All I want is your site to record it and do the selling for me.

which card specifically are you talking about? if it isn't a card I already track, I will add it to the list, and we can see how much "influence" I have. I doubt it is anything you are making it out to be.

Never called you a bum. These bums is reffering to the sellers of these cards. They use dirty tactics like shill bidding and price collusion to set up a false market for the cards they are looking to dump.

Check out these two Jordans, the PMG Red/100 and the Rubies/50. This is probably the 47th time this special special person has posted these two Jordans up for sale and auction.... He once thought the PMG was valued at $15,000.00 so he put a BIN and best offer option. He must have felt that it was worth a lot because of all the mega "sales." Of course it's his card to do whatever he wants with it, but having it up for BID over and OVER again makes you wonder...... Maybe all bidders didn't pay, can that be it? Or maybe it didn't get enough high LEGIT bids? Who knows......... :twisted:

Please keep your eye out for these two card serial numbers, the PMG 055/100 and the Rubies is 45/50. Let's see how many more times these two come up for sale from the same very special seller, or who knows, maybe from different sellers after this post?

Did I mention that this is the very special person that was granted "author" privileges on that special site where they record Jordan inserts "sales".............

This very special person who is selling these two Jordans is GONBLOTT on the forums and here are the two listings:

Rubies/50 -------> http://cgi.ebay.com/Michael-Jordan-97-9 ... 3f066fd78e

PMG Red/100 ---------> http://cgi.ebay.com/Michael-Jordan-97-9 ... 4155ed2412

But hey, don't take my word for anything, check it out for yourself!

All I ask from buyers is, to watch out when you deceide to buy a "rare" Jordan insert and don't pay these crazy prices becaue of some fishy business going around, just wait for a good price.....

I refuse to keep silent about it when so many people are getting ripped off!

Little update - Those two Jordans I posted above have been pulled..... They both had days left but they were pulled once again! WOW there are some high bids :o just go to the bidding history and you will see. I think those cards are worth the higest bid they got, because just imagine how high they would have went if the auction would actually go it's full course..... :twisted:

Please DONNOT believe those super high bids you see on there or on other Jordan insert auctions, it's just a bunch of fake hype....

I myself have a 1997-98 Ultra Platinum #259P serial numbered to 100 :D Accord to a few "legit" sales that i've seen in the recent couple of years, the PMG selling as high as $3,500.00, as far as i've seen.... My card NEVER shows up, never seen another myself, so what should it sell for, 5K??? NO! I refuse to list it and take somebody for 2K. Yes, I won't sell my soul for 2K, maybe a million dollars :lol:

I'm a collector and would rather keep it even though I know Jordan inserts will go down after all the BS is done with, but I refuse to sell it now......

I refuse to keep silent about it when so many people are getting ripped off!

Let me know when you are ready to sell. I have a local Jordan collector who would love to have it!

Here that's more like it... A Jordan insert #'d to 150 for 20 bucks -------> http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... MEWAX%3AIT

I had this saved to my watch list and it was listed at about $240 with best offer and SOMEHOW the seller deceided that $20 was a good deal on it. I guess you just gotta be part of the "group" to sell your Jordan cards for high prices... :lol:

Edited: Correction, it was listed at $299.95 but sold at best offer for 20 bucks

Jbrown,

When you sold your sheer brilliance MJ /230 from Black diamond were got decent money for them $50+ each.

I listed my Extreme brillance which is the same set but the cards are numbered /23, I couldnt fetch more than $50 for it. I still have it after cancelling my auction. (I did get a few ebay buyers asking me the status of the card but with no offers put forth)

Would your buyer be interested in the 2 cards below?

LMAO. I don't even know what that card is, what set it's from, or even if the serial number is legitimate. From the description and title of the auction, I doubt the seller does either. Regardless, congrats on your investigative work. This one auction completely debunks the myth that is (was) the Jordan 90's craze. Beckett media should be giving you a call any minute.

Its a topps stadium club one of a kind. THey had 2 standard issues of parallels. One of a kind and First day issues.

You have to admit that some jordan inserts get a whack of cash thrown at them. THen a few more go for nothing close to the price. This tends to happen to uncommon MJ inserts. The rare ones will always get huge dollars. Like the BMOC and Hot numbers, they always show up and sell for the same range untill a selective seller lists his and he gets double the going rate. Rare inserts like the Zpeat BMOC and Hoops Bams usually sell around the same level. I fully agree that MJ inserts demand good cash. But I am skeptical about a few sales, re sales and ironic dumping of the same card a few weeks later.

Gio, that best offer could have been a set price with the seller to close the deal on ebay. But a different amount could have been set between the seller and buyer so that he doesnt have to pay the fees and the buyer gets some sort of break.

Wbonus, that can be it, probably did a deal on the side.... Of course the people setting fake prices would just loooove if they could bid that card up for at least $800 lol. As far as you thinking that there is fishy business going around with prices and all that, trust me, there is more than you think happening.

bballcardkid - You should definetly get into stand up because you're very bad at it! You KNOW theres all types of fishiness going around with Jordan inserts, and makes me wonder why you're all defensive about it.....................

I would like to think that some of the slow down of the fake hype is partly do to me speaking out against it, along with many others who have seen too much shaddy activities going on, so don't hate me for my part in it ok :D

WOW very shocking :o MICHAEL JORDAN UD 97 SP AUTHENTIC SP PROFILES #54/100 only sold for $580 :o What's going on here!!! lol

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... MEWAX%3AIT

It was up for a while with a $1,200 BIN and finally sold for $580. Still is a little high imo but it's getting there.... :)

Before they would hype this card for minimum $1500 to $2500+ lol Who knows, maybe the people responsible for that fake hype are in jail now??? :lol:

If your going to insult someone, try to make sense next time. It should read:

"You should definately get into stand up because your very good at it," or "you're funny," or something. What you said makes no sense, much like most of your posts.

*******.

I'm not saying there aren't any fishy sales, but this Gio clown seems to think that there is no market for rare Jordan stuff when the demand for his 90's inserts greatly exceeds any player in any other sport. To think that $20for a Jordan insert numbered to 150 from the 90's is "where it should be" is laughable (especially from a non Jordan themed set where every card had a parallel, which is the case in a lot of 98/99 and 99/00 sets like MJX, etc)
