Not sure if this was posted. Torii Hunter's tweet.

"I was told money was tight but I guess the Arte had money hidden under a Mattress. Business is business but don't lie."

This is ridiculous. Not sure if I like this or not. Trading away the young talent always seems to come back to bite teams in the butt. Baseball is tragic and poetic like that...

As an Angels fan, I feel a bit uncomfortable with this new era of big spending and trying to buy a ring.

I will trade you teams. Cubs for the Angels . POO HOO!

As an Angel fan, I LOVE this move. 5 years was perfect, the commitment wasn't too much, etc.

Listen, if you don't think he is one of the 3 most talented players of the last 10 years, then you need to get your head checked. They guy is an absolute beast, and to have Pujols, Trout, and Hamilton on the same team is flat out nuts.

Great move by Mr. Dipoto.

Money can be tight and can be on hold for a top tier player.

Shedding payroll for a big splash signing is common. Sour grapes from Hunter for sure. He did well financially during his time with the Angels so he should just accept it as what it is...business, not a lie.

Hunter was way over paid for how he played for the Angels. Why is he complaining? Let him go cry to MJ and see what he tells him.

Why the hell would I?

Guess that's a big "no".Thought your best player bailing to a division rival would prompt a name change, but I guess not when it seems like most Rangers fans are dumping their Hamilton stuff. At least you can still cheer him on in person 18 times a season now.

I think you are confusing him with the other Josh_Hamilton_32 kid. This one, Will, is a Marlins fan - somehow still.

I've been a Hamilton fan since '99. Him coming to the Rangers was awesome, and I wish him luck

no reason to move my Rangers stuff. Angels fans won't want it and Rangers fans sure as hell won't. I might sell a few TT autos, and I'll actually start buying Rangers autos if they tank

As a Mariners fan, it is getting harder and harder to hate on the angels. It's almost like they are willing to put out money for a competitive team (We literally half A$$ it). In Seattle it feels like we either get bats or pitching but usually never both at the same time... We really needed/wanted Hamilton but I hope he plays well for the Angels.

missing the world series is a great move? I highly doubt those three will be playing to their full potential.

I think even my liked Dodgers will miss the world series - I've seen far too many times where teams that have players playing to their potential will make it to the World Series over teams who just like to showcase $$$ on the field for players not playing to their full potential.

EDIT: not surprised Hamilton signed with the angels? I knew he wasn't going to sign with the DEVIL rays. ;)
