A somewhat lesser Bay Area autograph from me today:

The Zito is out of Series 2, can't pass up the '80s design even if it's a sticker auto. The Leaf Memories buybacks aren't really my type of thing but I stumbled upon these and they were cheap so I grabbed them.

Why change things up now?

Ozzie Smith Refractor.jpg Eddie Mathews Blue.jpg Ralph Kiner Blue.jpg Don Sutton.jpg

Four more autos in the mail today for the set build. I'm at 12/30 now as long as no more variations show up. Unfortunately, for my wallet at least, 3 of them are the Nolan SP and both Koufax autos.

Always liked this 1993 Select Nolan Ryan Career Tribute card

Would love to see them all together when you complete the set. That would be a doozy! Good luck!

Do love the old dufex cards. Thanks for sharing.

Here is the full collection so far. The Koufaxs are at the top end of my normal monthly buying range so it may be a while until it is complete unless another couple examples sell for <$200 like the ones I missed a few months ago. Either way I'll keep hammering away at it.

I'm going off the assumption that there are unnumbered replacement copies for all the cards floating around out there but I'm not chasing the craziness involved there. I'll be happy just to add those as I find them, if I find them. I'm just going to worry about the easily verifiable packed out and backdoored copies.

Nice, thanks for the link to the site, that is a nice way to display. I've always wondered about making a website to document all of my cards. I'm not too tech savvy, for a millennial anyway. Perhaps one day.

Great batch of cards all around. Love that Significant Signatures set. I tried to complete the prior year, but gave up after prices started to rise. I do have one of the Koufax from your year there thankfully.

That Ryan, and all the Dufex cards from that set, were epic. The Piazza and Salmon ROY cards. Dufex HOFers there.

Hard to find bargains for these cards. Each one had a certain amount of the precious metal (gold, platinum, others?) in the card itself. I got a Brooks Robinson card way back and liked them, so have picked up a few here and there. I guess they are always going to be worth what the price of that metal is at any given time. This one contains a gram of gold.

Got a lot in the mail today.

070621-1.jpg
2015 Bowman Chrome Prospects Gold Refractor Matt Chapman 44/50, 2012 Bowman Sterling Black Refractor auto Yoenis Cespedes 03/25, 2010 Bowman Prospects Orange Josh Donaldson 111/250 (completes all the Orange A's from 2010), then a couple of 2006 and 2007 Topps Chrome Blue Refractors.

070621-2.jpg
Luzardo is out of the new Stadium Club, there are some beauties in that set. Tejada finishes all 4 A's from 2004 UD Vintage 3D Sluggers subset, they are way more difficult to find than you would think. The Rickey card finishes up a 10-card set inserted in Pepsi 12-packs in 1991. Brad Kilby was one of those tough to find Topps Target retro cards I've mentioned. Seemingly more rare than this recent /99 Austin Allen.

070621-3.jpg
Last but not least, a Project 70 Henderson.

Another pile today, did an early month binge so I'll have a lot over the next several days.

070721-1.jpg
1997 Totally Certified Blue Canseco 1445/1999...still missing the McGwire. I guess I just never picked them up for whatever reason. 1998 Mystery Finest Grieve Refractor, very nice looking...trying to finish up all of the Grieve regular and Refractor variations from this set, luckily he didn't get paired with Griffey on any of them. Happy to finally find 1998 Paramount Gold and Copper Rickeys...some of his "easy" parallels from the '90s can be really difficult to track down. The Giambi finishes off the 1999 Paramount Red team set.

070721-2.jpg
The more desireable backside of the Grieve Mystery Finest Refractor. 2017 Bowman Chrome Prospects Lazaro Armenteros is just one I hadn't been able to find for a fair price for whatever reason...finishes off my 2017 Bowman Chrome regular Refractor needs. I've been trying to finish up my A's needs for the first half dozen or so years of Ginter Mini Black sets and man some of them are really tough...so I'm happy to get this Justin Duchscherer from 2009. And the two on the bottom row are just a couple of my insert needs from the early '00s, I've been trying to clean up that portion of my wantlists. The Jackson/McCovey is 0157/1000.

And the big one for the day:
070721-3.jpg
This one is huge for me as it completes all A's from the original run of Stadium Club First Day Issue, 1993-1995. The 1994 Rickey A's card is a tough one out of Series 3 during the 1994 strike year - his Blue Jays card from Series 1 seems to be more plentiful. It's not *impossible* like some '90s parallels but not something you see every day so you need to jump on one when it's a price you're willing to pay.

Those Oakley Sub Zeros are tight. Great card and definitely agree you need to jump on Series 3 cards from 1994 if you need them. They tend to vanish.

I can remember it was even real tough to find the Golden Rainbow parallel.

2002 Topps Heritage Chrome Tim Hudson finishes up all my Heritage Chrome needs prior to 2017. The Treinen '84 Red auto is 15/25. The Sean Murphy finishes up all my Bowman Chrome regular Refractor needs, including autos, 1997-2019...except for one dang 2000 common I can't find. The Blackburn was just a nice parallel for a decent price. The Halsey completes the 2006 UD Special F/X Purple /150 team set, not a minor accomplishment since it's 30+ cards including a Frank Thomas. I'm only two away from completing the Green/99 team set as well.

First Cardinals heavy mailday in a while. First up is a couple RCs of the GOAT then there were a few 1st Bowmans and RY Insert of hopefully the next great Cardinal player.

I got the sample set (minus the Nomo Rookie Roll Call sample) in for my 1995 Zenith Master Set build.

There were a few random 90s inserts too.

The 2006 Bowman Chrome Gold Refractor Kurt Suzuki gets me two away from the team set, but one of those I'm missing is Frank Thomas. Almost got one this week but one person outbid me! Hudson and Schneidmiller put me 3 away from the 2003 Pristine Gold Refractor team set. The 2007 Topps Chrome Refractor Kurt Suzuki is from the Update set, 108/415. Rich Harden finishes off my 2006 Finest Black Refractor/99 5-card team set. And the 2002 Pristine Refractor Dan Johnson 126/149 completes all 9 of his cards from that year's set, 3 each base/Refractor/Gold Refractor. As a bonus the case is in great condition, kind of rare to find these days.

070921-2.jpg
A couple of Luzardo blue refractor RC autos, filling in some gaps in my collection while he's cold...I have faith he'll come back. The Barreto is a case of great card, crappy player - 2017 Topps Update '87 Autographs Ash Wood 1/5. The wood autos usually sell pretty well and I got a good deal with a terrible eBay title, 2 bucks plus shipping! A couple of nice 2021 cards and then a 2007 Bowman Orange 054/250 Piazza. I'm down to just a few remaining to have all A's Bowman paper Orange cards from 2007-2014 when they were /250 before the print run got reduced to /25.
