The 2005 Reflections Blue 18/35 Rich Harden/Merkin Valdez finishes up the 4-card rainbow, as I already had the base, Red/99, and Platinum 1/1 versions of the card. Donaldson is the cheaper Wal-Mart Black card, not the Topps Black. The Crisp and Bailey 2011 Topps Blacks finish up the regular & Update team sets for that year! So that's 2005, 2007, and 2011 I have complete; I must only be able to complete odd years.

I don't usually go for wire photo type stuff but this one was special. This is from Trent Dilfer's first college start. It was his freshman season and he was originally the backup, but was elevated to starter when senior starting QB Mark Barsotti was injured. I can vividly remember when this happened. I was very upset because Barsotti was from Madera, which is about 25 miles outside of Fresno and where I was living at the time. This would have been just after my 13th birthday.

I went by the LCS this afternoon to drop off cards so they could complete a set. I do this quite a bit and cash in when there's something I want. Saves a few $$ off a box. I decided to get the last Topps Clearly Authentic box. I got one earlier and got Brent Rooker plus a redemption for Jonathan India. Not bad. This one was better.

Have not posted on this forum in a while (WORK) but managed to pick up a huge PC card and was one of my dream cards so I am super pumped and wanted to share. Seeded into each 2004 Topps Chrome Hobby box was a"Refractor Hot Pack" that contained one Red X-Fractor. Each Red X-Fractor has a stated print run of /63 for series one and /61 for series 2. David Ortiz was found in series 2. Topps definitely chose the right color for the X-Fractor that year. Looking for the black refractor now to complete the parallel set (white,Black,Gold, Red X-Fractor). IMG_1674.JPGIMG_1679.JPG

Went to a show today, since I had been to the same show last month I pretty much cleaned the dealers out of stuff I needed already. Did pick up a few things, here's the highlights:

The two I was real excited about are the Olson and Street. Matt Olson is the 2019 Topps Independence Day 35/76. Huston Street is his 2004 Elite Extra Edition Aspirations Gold 17/25, I can add it to the many versions of this card I already have. And the rest are some other cards I don't think I had yet.

^^^^^ On the Street image, is it of him looking at a runner on second base? Not sure I can recall seeing a cropped image of a pitcher like that before.

Either that or looking at third base while facing the batter. Never noticed how weird it was until just now!

My first M101-2. These are sooo cool and will probably lead to my foray into supplements and premiums. Not sure if the gold frame works though...might have to paint a distressed tiger blue one

I was looking to see if you had the run of 5, but 1 & 3 are missing. I'm sure 3 sells at a premium, as does 1 sometimes.

I remember thinking I had a complete run of 5 cards, only to break them out in better light and realize I had black and purple versions. It just happened to line up that I had 1/5, 2/5, 3/5, 4/5 & 5/5!

The 2006 Bowman White Frank Thomas 109/120 completes the team set. After picking up the John Jaha I still need five more for 2000 Stadium Club Chrome First Day Issue. The Quintanilla 2005 Bowman auto is the Red Ink short print with an announced print run of 25. 2020 Bowman Chrome Gold Refractors are pretty sweet looking. I don't have many 2005 Turkey Red Golds so this Kevin Melillo 21/50 is a nice pickup. And finally this one was real tough to find for me, a 2004 Donruss World Series Face Off Clark/Eckersley 156/500.

Super super clean 2004 SP Yadier Molina RC that I wish I'd had before my last SGC sub. Oh well. In the sub pile it goes.

Today's mail, it's been slow the last week because I spent way too much money at the start of the month.

2021 Absolute Sweet Spot Ripoff Daulton Jefferies auto 57/60. Guess there will be more room for him on the team the next few years with Luzardo gone. Not anywhere near the same potential but he could be a decent back half of the rotation starter.
