Sorry for bad scan, haven't scanned it since i got it. Its seems dull in the picture because of the one-touch it is in. Great card though...figured id put it up because i haven't seen a chipper put up yet...

Is that no. 8? I may have seen no. 5 and no. 9.

#8 would be correct. Yea, i jumped on mine one night for a BIN that got put up late in the night. I had to after seeing the first 4-5 end at anywhere from 275-420. Got mine for 325. Tough chunk of change to part with, but i don't regret it at all.

I've been slowly compiling scans of these things as they've been popping up in various places. It's by no means comprehensive, and I have a bunch I haven't gotten through, but I've kept scans of some 200 different Museums. They're by far my favorite release in a long time, possibly ever.

Has Topps said Nishioki auto has been pulled from checklist?

Wonder if they made some cards that won't be signed because autograph deals fell through. Could be a nice Topps vault item to sell off the unsigned ones.

I have a Nishioka Museum redemption and it still says pending. I also had 2 auto redemptions from Topps Chrome and I got replacements for those. He got demoted to AAA so he should have time to sign.

Would be great if Nishi did sign these. Maybe now that he got sent to minors he doesn't think so highly of his auto value and Topps can get something done with him...

OMG the status for Albert Belle has changed to "shipped". I won't be waiting by the mailbox but I'm pretty excited now. I'll post as soon as it shows up. I actually passed on a redemption recently on eBay because I wasn't too sure this would actually be filled. Sucks considering it went for like $75 ::facepalm::

Some of these new museum metal autographs look pretty amazing. Some look terrible with that giant pen. Which do you prefer -- 2011 or 2012?

I love 2011, but I am biased. Better checklist, lower print run, and I like the designs about the same. The shine on the previous year is nice. I like this year's bordering. Wish the pen wasn't an issue

I'm struggling to see the value in the differences between /15, /10, and /5 from an aesthetic point of view. Actually I do think they got the order right here, in the sense that the /5 (black) looks better than the /10 (silver), which looks better than the /15 (gold) to my eyes. And I know there will be collectors who have to "complete the rainbow" so to speak, or ones who will value /5 more than /10, but I'm expecting the /5 prices to be overvalued and effectively price me out of caring.

I didn't like the silver-on-gold ink of last year.
Not liking the fat ink of this year.
I definitely like the borders of this year.

Oh, what biases you to last year?

I have about 7 or 8 of the 2011 Museum Autos, so I will probably like them more because I can't afford to like the other ones lol. I think you're right on about all of that though. I don't understand why there has the 30 per player now, and there really isn't a different between them. The black border with the silver ink does look a lot better, but somehow it got messed up.

Oh and Josh Hamilton did have an auto in last year's set.

YOU KNOW
probably more of them this year because the product is called MUSEUM COLLECTION and partially revolves around these whereas they were just a throw in last year

I agree, 2011 looks like a better set. I just got this one in the mail.
