Highlights of the 90s lots I got in today

I had to snag this when I saw it in a Facebook group, especially after grabbing a couple of the cards a couple weeks ago. This is the same image used on the 1990 Pro Set Santa Claus card but they used it on Christmas cards sent to dealers. I had at least one when we had the shop but no idea where they went.

SGC sub comes in tomorrow along with more 90s goodness.

Gonna be sad when I have to give these back to my buddy tomorrow from our SGC sub. They are all gorgeous in hand. They slabbed the 1960 Topps Spahn Tattoo backwards but I'm not sure what he's decided to with it yet.

My part of the SGC sub (well other than a KSA 8 1979 OPC Ozzie I subbed with a min grade of 8 that didn't cross). I still can't find anything wrong with the Yadier but it is what it is.

I'd forgotten I bought this until it showed up today.

The COMC order and 90s lots I was expecting today won't be here till tomorrow so more content then I guess.

Had to get the Starling Marte Bowman Chrome auto since the A's picked him up - he's been on fire so far. The Zito 2021 Stadium Club auto is 13/25. The McGwire is amusing/annoying because I had 1996 Leaf Gold Press Proof on my wantlist, and that's what I got, but I wanted to make sure to check it against my Bronze to be absolutely sure because it's hard to tell the two apart. Well it turns out the Bronze I already had was actually a Gold that somebody must have sold me a long time ago believing it was a Bronze. So on one hand my card was worth way more than I thought it was, but on the other I wasted money buying a second copy and now I need the Bronze! The Nomar/Karros Co-Signers card I got lucky on, the picture in the auction was terrible as the card was in a scratched up screw down that made it look like it was wrecked, but I took a chance on it and it's a beauty. Also the $12 2-day priority shipping may have scared some bidders off. $17 delivered seems like a good deal to me.

Got Backstrom and Kuznetsov in today from COMC, they’ve gotten better shipping recently. Down to just Ovechkin and Holtby to finish the set

and I can’t explain how good it feels to finally have one of these coming. Wanted one for around 15 years now, can’t wait for this to come in

My COMC order arrived today. I requested it on 8/2, it shipped on 8/6, and it got here today. That's pretty good considering their recent past.

Some 1994 Flair foil goodness

These 1993 Wave of the Futures finish up my set.

It also contained a few Helsleys that have been held hostage over a year.
I'm not sure what the print run on the 2017 Topps Heritage Minors No First Name is but they don't show up often. This one is only the second one I've seen for sale.
The 2020 Panini Gold Prizm auto gives me 6 of the 10 I think, maybe 7. I'll have to count. This one is #7/10.
I didn't know the 2018 Choice Memphis card existed till it showed up for sale.

90s lots are still floating around the mail so hopefully they'll be in this week sometime.

Wow, that is nice on the shipping. I'll say it though, nothing against you, but makes me wonder if older orders are still waiting, while newer ones are shipping. That would be an extra kick in the jewels to those still waiting for old orders.

Those Hot Numbers were cool, when new. Until basketball came out with the lenticular version, those were the Hot Numbers to have.

Finally found The T52 refractor. Only took 2 years and a bit of luck. Just got the Fred Mcgriff international refractor today. Awesome card. great to see you all picking up Molina RC's. Was able to win a draft and scored the red bazooka Molina and other refractors. Picked up a bunch of ortiz t52 golds to. if you can get them for under 40-50 bucks you should get a couple. Great investment but just an awesome card. one of my favorites as you can see I have alot of them.

Wow, that is nice on the shipping. I'll say it though, nothing against you, but makes me wonder if older orders are still waiting, while newer ones are shipping. That would be an extra kick in the jewels to those still waiting for old orders.

I've got an economy shipping order in that I placed 7/14 and had an original shipping estimate of 11/4. They now show you the number of cards ahead of your order and the current estimated ship date, which is constantly moving around. Mine is now 9/20, so if they can actually hit that it's still over 2 months to ship but that's better than the original nearly 4 month estimate and WAY better than the 7 months it took for my December order. They had sent out a communication a few weeks back saying their goal was to get economy down to one month by the end of the year. That's still longer than I'd prefer (economy used to be 2-3 weeks before COVID) but 1 month for the base cheap level of shipping doesn't sound terrible after all of this.

That's quite possible but I don't know. I originally requested shipment on those same 11 cards in March with an estimated ship date in June. I cancelled the shipment request in mid-July when they bumped my estimated shipment date back to September. When a few people said they'd gotten their order in a timely fashion I gave it another shot and it shipped very quickly.

I picked up 2 boxes of A&G yesterday. Really beat the odds.

1st box my 3 hits were: Nola relic, Vlad Jr mini framed relic & Dylan Carlson mini framed auto. Nola is quickly becoming one of my favorite active players.

2nd box was even better! My 3 hits were: Rickey framed mini relic, Baines Rip card /99 & Johnny Damon mini framed auto.

Yes, I ripped. Never had much luck with these. Pulled the extended mini Nolan Ryan card #390. In the 2nd box I also got a Vlad Sr NNO (stated print run of 50).

Last the 2nd box was also a Hot Box. Every card was a Silver foil! (The one on the right)

Awesome stuff. This is the first year Puckett has been in Ginter since they started making it. I busted one box in 2010 otherwise I have no real experience with it. It's been fun to see all the cards and pick a few up already.

1957 Topps Joe Collins - with this, down to 35 for the 1950s Topps Yankees run. Started my vintage journey 5 years at the National. At this stage, its going to get a lot tougher, half of my remaining ones Mantles and the other half are 1952s.




2021 Topps Joe Torre Safe at Home Foundation Promo --Another Topps oddball this month, have the 2018, 2019 and now 2021. These are easier to find, may have been given out at more locations.

I just checked to see what my order would be. If I requested it yesterday, they were showing a December ship date. I only had economy for $6 or a couple inflated $20+ options. Nothing in between like I have seen others offered.

When I used up the credit I added, I am requesting a ship date and then I am probably done until this all blows over or I just never look back.

Hadn't picked up the 2021 Bowman Chrome Stevie Emanuels auto yet, nothing special about him but it's an A's card. The Montas patch is nice. And I way overpaid on the Henderson 1994 Pinnacle Artist's Proof ($50 shipped) but I hadn't seen any for sale in a real long time so I figured I'd better jump on it. I'm still oddly missing a Ruben Sierra to complete the team set.
