Tony LaRussa returns and moved Albert Pujols to 3B.

Was this expected??? Or is this going to push Albert out of St Louis at the end of the year?

Harper > Pujols at third.

I believe he started at 3rd as a rookie.

Yea... first time since 2002. But you'd think he should be the starting 1B no matter what. Allen Craig in OF... Berkman at 1B..Pujols at 3B??

Seems odd.... but maybe Allen Craig is the next big thing.

He put Albert Pujols at third to get....wait for it....Allen Craig's bat in the line-up behind Berkman. Allen Craig played 246 games at 3rd in the minors as compared to 93 at 1st.

The other day, Allen Craig played 2nd (1 game in the minors) and Descalso played 3rd (343 games at 2nd, 49 at 3rd in the minors).

We have a closer by commitee situation wich essentially means if you mess up once you are done until everyone else messes up.

Yesterday, Theriot and Punto hit 1 and 2 respectively in the line-up.

Lee (lefty) on the mound. need right handed hitters in the lineup

Put Craig at 3B.... dont move a guy in his prime... having a down year to his standards... but move a GG 1B to make room for Allen Craig?

Homer Cardinals fan: Don't question LaRussa, he is a sure fire HOFer and has a lot of wins....how can you question him?

No, he'll bat 3rd against lefties, but Jon Jay will play first and bat 3rd against righties....Pujols will be a great bat off the bench on those days though.
